There is no such thing as a "Karate Center" of any sort on this site or even close by. The picture shown is an Orthodox Church, and that's all that is at this site.

Joining Shotokan Karate center is one of the best thing I could have ever done . If you are looking for real quality and discipline karate training then I would strongly suggest attending this dojo.

The school is a traditional Shotokan with certified instructors. The emphasis is always to advance student to higher level, hard work and discipline. I have been in this school for many years, and besides the practice, I have learned hard work and good character.

The best place to learn traditional Japanese Karate. Not to mention discipline and self-respect. Highly recommended.

This club is not for faint of heart. I trained here for about 6 years before relocating to another state for work and I am still moved when I think about my days with Sensei Mazhari. Training is incredibly tough (in the best way) and the standard of the club is uncompromising. I was training there when SKC left the JKA and I can assure you that it had nothing to do with "fees" etc. I find it laughable that people who have been burned because they don't meet the standards or are of such weak character that they were turned away, take to the internet to write anonymous and cowardly nonsense. If you want the real deal, this is where you'll train. If you want run of the mill, or better yet, SKC rejects, train elsewhere in Virginia.

This club is a joke. The head Sensei (Mazari) walks around hitting people on the shoulders with a bamboo stick. He EXPELS (yes EXPELS) black belt members who disagree with him. This club had two Senseis after it broke away from Shotokan JKA (because he said he was paying too much money to be affiliated with JKA). Sensei Mazari harassed and tormented the other Sensei (who had a business partnership to run the club with him) until he quit and left. Honestly this guy is bad news. There are better clubs in Virginia. Stay Away from this crowd.
