Sashiko Class -I recently took a 2 hr sashiko class. It was so much fun and I loved it!! I’m so glad in person classes are coming back. By the end of the class I was hooked and already picked up another sashiko kit.One of the things I loved about the class was not having to have any experience at all, and then being able to choose a project (mine was cloth coasters), thread (yes we learned there is a difference from other embroidery threads), needle (length makes a difference depending on the pattern!), and the techniques to get started. We didn’t finish during the class, but if you wanted to keep working on it or needed help with other techniques like sewing the coasters, there is also an open craft night where you can continue with your project.Notes on this project in case interested in just purchasing separately:-navy coaster kit is for sale separately-I opted for a beautiful pastel color changing thread, but there are tons of options-I do think that adding a light interfacing to the back of one side did help to provide structure (pellon sf101 worked nicely for me), but isn’t required.-simple sewing is needed for finishing, could be entirely hand sewn if desired, and I think a hidden ladder stitch works best after you turn them inside out.

Checked out the store and got a few yards and quarter yards of fabric. Really cute place with a lot of completed quilting squares along the walls. I got a few project ideas and will be back soon!

The owner is extremely helpful. Her locally-owned store offers a good variety of fabrics, yarn, and other items. Classes are available as well.

I came here for their reopening!! I’m so impressed with the amazing high quality yarn. I am starting a new journey in buying yarn from small businesses like this, so amazing ? not only do they have great yarns, but also have super cute pins and other small crafts!!

I was looking for a last minute gift for my mom and came in to TINT with my daughter. We were greeted promptly by Rebecca and then the owner Carissa who helped us put together a nice basket of merino yarn, scissors, fabric bundles, a magnetic needle holder, and a few other notions. I know nothing about sewing or knitting and these ladies were incredibly thoughtful picking out things they would enjoy giving me ideas for my mom’s gift. I would highly recommend stopping in (which is behind the Neighborhood Barbershop - there’s plenty of parking back there) to check out all of the wonderful supplies. Bonus: They also offer adult classes!

TINT is it really nice little place. The woman who runs it is very helpful and the yarn is gorgeous. There are also lots of quilting supplies. I can't believe how many times I had driven past without realizing it was there. You do have to go around to the back of the barbershop building.
