I just wanna give props to Jay. He is such an honest guy. I had a bad experience with a mechanic over in Arlington and I didn’t have high expectations for Jay’s shop. However, I was pleasantly surprised. His rates are reasonable and he takes extra steps to make sure the car is sound. The parking isn’t the best but well worth navigating around. Lastly, the woman behind the counter, I believe she’s his wife, is super sweet. I highly recommend going here for your car needs.

My car was being sabotaged and intentionally misdiagnosed at two other mechanic shops in Vienna VA when I applied for a state inspection. So, sfter much frustration with the two other shops, I was referred to Virginia auto repair Center. I requested an inspection, the replacement of pivot joints and brake pads that according to the last inspection were all that were needed to pass inspection. So I purchased the parts from Advanced Auto and asked VA Auto Center to fix the problem. When VA Auto repair again failed the car for front shocks, I wondered why he had not advised me of the shocks issue when he inspected the car and replaced the parts? Only to find out that he was not the inspector, it was the business next door. I was furious since I knew that the brakes were fine 8/32 and now I was looking at another major shock assembly job to get the car on the road. Jay was furious that "a woman" was able to ask him for correction and he refused to do further work on the car.But WHAT HAS DISTURBED ME MOST is that the new pivot joints have made my car more unstable than it was before it went to VA Auto Repair Center. And it failed inspection again because the pivot joints are not done correctly at VA Auto Repair Center. The Inspector from the other shop called VA Auto and advised them to redo the job on the pivot joints and they agreed to do so. I took the car in and in 24 hours I was called into VA Auto and told that my car passed and that I should come and pay again for the inspection again and take my car. When I drove the car, I realized that the pivot joint job had NOT been corrected and the car was still very unstable on the road especially in bad weather. Jay has refused to correct his labor opting rather to forge an inspection sticker and put my safety at risk. I cannot drive what was my dependable RAV4 when it rains and absolutely not in snow. I feel unsafe and at-risk of losing control because the car is definitely not road worthy and I have parked it until the spring when I can take it to a mechanic that I trust out of state to fix it. I expected better from VA Auto Repair Center and I am very dissatisfied with the service & treatment that I received.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Very friendly on my first visit and quick to act on my repair. I got my car back in less than a day. Return trips were less successful for service based upon a warranty offered at check-out. Unfortunately, the company hid behind non-descript rules and refused to honor their own warranty. Felt like I was arguing with Zalinsky motors. While looking inspecting the original issue, they found several "new issues." I refused service and I have moved by business to Integrity Motors off 29.Services: Auto brake repair

Buyers, be aware!!!!! You deserve to go somewhere where you are respected, where honesty is valued. Not just for someone to see you as a dollar sign. They lost a loyal customer. If "gaslighting" had a mechanics logo, this place would be the poster face for the billboard. He is not there to help you just to take advantage of you. DO NOT GO OVER THERE. If you're looking for a place to have honest work done on your car, DO NOT BRING IT HERE!!! You have been warned. Read the reviews. They are very true.

Mr. Kim at Virginia Auto Repair is absolute, expert, auto master. I was struggling for months with my suspension problem and many shops were not able to find out the real issue. However, when I visited V.A.R, Mr. Kim took his time and diagnosed my vehicle even in the bad weather. My vehicle is now completely fixed and it truly feels like a brand new car. I highly recommend this automotive shop for any repair for your vehicle.Service: Steering / Suspension

Honest repair shop. I keep records on my past maintenance and follow the manufacturer's recommended schedule. When trying a new shop I always ask the tech to look over the car and let me know what else needs to be done. He pinpointed the the needed work and didn't recommend service I didn't need. Recommend.

Stay away from this place.I came with my spare part and agreed with him about work price. However spare part that i brought was not good according to the owner of the business. To avoid ordering online, waiting time, and attempt fee for work, instead he offered to request spare part through his source. He did not say the price until work was done. Spare part that cost me $20-50, ended up with cost of $400. This guy is just an opportunist that exploiting the situation and to rip you off. He is not there to help you just to take advantage of you. DO NOT GO OVER THERE.Service: Electrical

I came to get my car inspected. The service could have been better but they were nice enough. The line wasn't too long especially being almost the end of the month. It was basically what you would expect from an inspection.

This shop is the best auto repair shop in Northern Virginia. Customer service and communication is top notch. They were able to fix an annoying ABS problem that others were not able to fix and kept me in the loop. I highly recommend. «:::P:::» «:::E:::» «:::R:::» «:::F:::» «:::E:::» «:::C:::» «:::T:::»

I'm utterly disappointed. Stay away from this place. I went to this place to change my lights. My mother advised me to go elsewhere when she read the reviews on here. However, because I've been here before, I thought I had some report with these people. I was wrong. I was here to change my low beam light . The place my mother asked me to go to quoted me $75. But because I came here before, I trusted them. I should have never trusted them to begin with. He told me that changing my low beam would cost me $120 ( not bright enough). Then he told me I could get the LED light for $180. I told him I couldn't afford it. After he opened my car, he said that my socket was burned and if he installed the new lights, it wouldn't last. Everything , including the low beam light would cost me $218. I declined as I couldn't afford it. Really. This is not for the LED lights. He said he'd see what he can do. He ended charging me $128.16 for the low beam light. When I was driving away that evening my lights were not working. I was so so upset. I can't believe it I got ripped off like that. I should have gone to the other guy. You love and learn.
