I normally don’t do things like this but its just progressively getting worse.. I travel through fancy gap/I77 weekly for work in hillsville and like to stop at the Cockerhams store because it’s on my way to work from Dobson(home). I’m from galax and my family has done business with Cockerhams for 40+ years. The last several times I’ve tried to go to the BP I walk out, I can’t stand to go in anymore. I feel like when I walk in I’ve been sitting beside Willie Nelson for the last hour. I know it’s legal here but this is a business establishment not Willie Nelson’s man cave. I think it’s pitiful. Cockerhams please fix this before your locals/regulars find new places to shop.

Know this is not important when choosing gas station but this BP is in absolutely gorgeous location. We are camping at Fancy Gap KOA, BP is, convenient. Surroundings and store clean, the was very nice and dressed appropriately for public job which seems to be rarity in today's world. Great place to stop with family.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Everytime we go there we are told they can't accept our money. I end up having to use a card. The cashier is very rude. I have contacted corporate as I usually like to stay with certain chain stores, however I will not be doing so any longer. I would not recommend this store.

Clean bathrooms don't do it justice. Ladies room smelled good and looked amazing. By far the cleanest gas station bathroom heck the whole store was clean and organized. Cashier was friendly, polite and she was clean and unfortunately that's rare in single people gas stations anymore. It people like this who make me want to stop at the same places everytime I travel to my family's which is often. I work at a chain gas station and she would be an asset to any team and I hope your bosses acknowledge this.

Terrible place to stop. Didnt accept my bp card and the attendant said it was my problem. I used the same card earlier and it worked well.terrible service

Use to allow trucks to park in the back lot. But for some reason that is no longer available. Shame to, because the staff was always friendly and it was a quiet place to sleep. Always spent money there to show my appreciation. Companies want the things that trucks haul but don’t want them on their property. Probably because some driver tore something up or left a mess.

No truck parking. This woman will come and tell you to move. When I mentioned that there were no signs for it, she stated, "We don't have to have signs. It's private property."This is a convenience store with fuel pumps and space for a row of trucks, and you expect trucks not to park at it when there are no signs for it?They are clearly running a towing racket meant to extort truckers with the towing business next door.2 stars for letting me know before I went in and spent money on overpriced merchandise.

I paid with a 100 dollar bill the man said you got anything smaller I said no I don’t and I didn’t and he said well this isn’t a bank and sighed and he had the worst attitude ever. then sent some woman to get the cash and she kept looking at me like I was crazy. My total was 20 dollars and he rang me up for the chips twice. Don’t recommend this place.

Stopped for gas and snacks traveling to Ohio, such a clean station. Restrooms were old but immaculately clean, staff were n process of cleaning rest of station too when i arrived. Great choices of snacks, cashier was friendly and efficient!
