We just returned home from donating four truck loads of wonderful items to our local Habitat store. We provided an eight page itemized list of these things which included everything from vintage to collectible to antique. These were things we treasured. Since we are downsizing to sell our home, as difficult as it was to part with some of our things, we knew they would be going to a good cause. That is the very reason we selected the Habitat for Humanity. We knew they could make some money and other people would get a chance to enjoy what we donated. On the last load, I noticed many of the items we had just donated were thrown into the dumpster. Not just Christmas items but music boxes, old dolls, Murano glasses we purchased in Venice, a McCoy bamboo teapot, vintage nursery planters, vintage poodle figurines and so much more. I couldn't dig enough to see what else had been thrown away. These very things I have loved were thrown away like trash and broken into bits and pieces. I tried rescuing some from the dumpster but there was too much broken glass to dig too deep. When I asked the person at the donation door why they were being thrown away, he said it wasn't his decision. When I went inside and spoke to the manager, who had been there for the first load, she claimed to have no knowledge of why things were thrown away. We have much more to donate including many pieces of signed and numbered artwork, and antique furniture. To say we will no longer donate to the Restore, is an understatement. We are heartbroken that the things we had great difficulty letting go of are now rubble in the trash. We could understand if we had been told they couldn't accept Christmas decor or were overwhelmed with donations and couldn't accept what we had as we would have taken our things elsewhere. There is no excuse for an organization who touts to do so much for the community to throw away nice, and in some cases, valuable items when they could be sold to make money to further programs within the community. I am sick to my stomach and in tears. There were things we would have kept if we had known they would end up in the dump. We will no longer shop at or support this organization.

Prices a lot higher, and not near the things they had at the last location

Stopped in and found three vintage lamp shades perfect for some naked lamps I have. And of course the price was right, so I couldn't pass them up. Great find!

Their posted hours are wrong. I drove 35 miles because it said open only to be told they are closed every Monday.

Great buys but you have to go frequently to find what you want.

The woman working the register was very rude and disrespectful, she even insulted me as I was walking out the door. You would think that someone her age would be more mature. Very shocked of the customer service.
