“This particular store has awesome staff. We used the pet wash, but all the shampoos there have coconut in them and our dog is allergic. We usually bring a little bottle of dawn soap, but forgot it today. Team lead gave us Dawn dish soap off the shelf and did a "store use" on it so we did not have to buy it. Love these people. Will use their dog wash on the regular from now on!”

“Just grabbed a full size wood lathe for $399.99! They're on clearance and heavy cast iron, lots of options and speeds. Store is extremely well stocked and associates are ready to help you. Spring is coming!! They have backpack sprayers in stock.Adding to my shop, ran in and bought a random orbital sander, a specialty sander for those hard to reach places, sandpaper for both and did all that in 5 minutes!! Always the best selection and prices and always the best associates!!”

“In 2023, it was nice to treated as a "customer" again, rather than a "consumer." Although I've often dropped in here for small items, this time I made a substantial purchase - a new lawnmower. I'd seen it earlier in the week so phoned and asked it it was still available and if they'd keep it for me as I drove to collect it (which they did, with an old-fashioned "sold" sticker)! It was very pleasant to be made to feel that my custom was valued and appreciated, for a staff member to tell me all about the mower, and to help me load it into my car. Sure, I could have driven to certain big box stores, loaded it into a cart myself, gone through the self-check-out, and then struggled to load it into my car's trunk on my own - but Ace's price was identical to the big box store's price, so I went to Ace and appreciated being a customer again and not an anonymous consumer. It's a nice store, well stocked, and has superb staff who are always helpful - whether you're buying one 15 cent wingnut or a $450 lawnmower!”

“Update - Augusta is refunding my purchase (I hope that includes the exorbitant shipping costs!)They also said that I need not return the incorrect refills.I added two stars for effort. If I get a full refund I will update them to 5 stars.Update #2: Full, FAST refund!5 stars as promised!I tried to buy some Victor Flea Trap refills. No one else shows them available., yet Augusta DOES show them available on their website. I figured that they might have some, so I placed my bet - I mean order...They immediately took the money out of my account, then had the gall to say that they were backorder with some coming in soon. They arrived today (overpacked - cost $16.25 for a box when a manila envelope would have sufficed) - yet they were NOT the Victor brand refills shown on the webpage, but Terro brand - which is the wrong shape.”

“Had a problem with an Ego chain saw bought at Lowes. Didn't buy it at Waynesboro Lowes, but Waynesboro was listed as closest place to get it repaired. Turns out that Waynesboro was not a repair depot. However, Jay, the power tool manager, went the extra mile by having it sent to an Ace Hardware for repair. I got a new saw. Jay had called to explain what was happening and later called to ask whether I had my new saw. He could have washed his hands of it by sending me directly to Ace, but he worked hard to satisfy a Lowes customer. This guy is a real gem.”

Being it's Black Friday, employees were within my eyesight as soon as I walked in the door.This employee gave me the isle I was looking for, and once I got there... There was another employee to find tune what I was looking for. Though what I wanted was sold separately, I had to buy a kit... But the kit has the items I needed, maybe I'll have use of the others sometime in the future.I needed something else, last minute thought came to mind, and I was directed to the area. I picked up 4 items when I was only going for one.Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable of where items not in their departments are.”
