Went every morning we were in town! The Mango Lassi smoothie was outstanding - as were all of the different coffees we tried. And the pastries were delicious! Highly recommend!

Great place! While looking for a spot for coffee in Floyd, Virginia--I found this delightful place! If I lived in Floyd, I would probably frequent the Red Rooster a couple of times a day! Unique drink options, friendly baristas and a wonderful selection of merchandise (from Red Rooster logo jean jackets and sweatshirts) to healthy food products. Plus, they have a great selection of baked goods--including beautiful cookies! The barista mentioned that those goodies are baked daily. Simply a not-to-miss place!!

Friendly helpful staff and great coffee. This place is always super clean, efficient, and organized. They run different seasonal drink specials that are a treat. I'm not a big fan of sweet coffee drinks and they're always more than willing to adjust the drinks for me. We have an espresso machine at home and the beans held up well against our normal fav. I'm a fan!

Outstanding coffee! The owners at the lodge we stayed (Pine Tavern Lodge) recommended this spot and we were not disappointed. We bought 3 different varieties to bring home. It’s a must try!

Got a chocolate orange marzipan latte and plain latte both with oatmilk. Sooo good. Two scones: goat cheese and pepper (phenomenal) and cranberry thyme feta. Total price was around $20. Very happy with what we got but a bit pricey. Staff and visitors were masked, outdoor seating available.

Pastries were excellent coffee even better. Great device and atmosphere. Loved it. How amazing this little town has such a world class coffee shop.

Very good coffee and breakfast bagel sandwiches. Service was a little slow, and there was not much seating.

Red Rooster is absolutely a hidden gem of the SWVA region, and I'm so glad I made the trip from Roanoke. If it we're closer, I might just be back every day. Disclaimer: I'm not yet a coffee connoisseur. However, my pour over was delightful. I told the barista I like Ethiopian coffees, and although nine were available in-store, the barista recommended a wonderful Peruvian one instead. It was bright and acidic--just how I like it. The coffee was also served at a hot but very drinkable temperature, which I appreciated, but may not fare so well if taking your coffee to-go. The star of my breakfast was the local egg and cheddar sandwich on a sourdough bagel. The bagel was soft and tangy, the eggs rich, and the cheese tied everything together. Even without meat, this was an excellent breakfast sandwich. Last was the lemon blueberry donut. I was expecting a warm, soft donut and instead I got a cool, slightly crunchy one. This was a bit jarring at first, but not entirely unwelcome. The icing was perfectly balanced between the two flavors, and sweet enough but not overpoweringly so. It's not a reason in itself to make the trip, but I'd get it again when I return. Overall, this is a phenomenal little coffee shop, and I can see why it got crowded so quickly. If you love coffee, or just a great breakfast sandwich, I'd highly recommend stopping by.

We travel full-time and I buy a half-caf mocha latte everywhere we go. Most taste like hot milk with some sweet a** chocolate syrup . This one was outstanding. I would get it again. In fact I did. For some reason they have not opened their store to walk-in traffic. You must order with an app, call ahead or take a chance at getting service at the walk-up window on the side of the building. Okay once you catch on.

Wish I could be reviewing this more fully, but due to the pandemic the actual cafe was closed when we visited. We've been ordering Red Rooster since the start of the pandemic, when we were looking for ways to support regional small businesses while also reducing our trips to the store - we couldn't be happier with Red Rooster! At this point we've tried over two dozen of their coffee beans, and haven't had a bad one yet. I prefer their single origins to the in-house blends, and highly recommend checking out what their seasonal offerings are. As for the cafe experience, you had to call in your order ahead of time, and then someone would run it out to you. They also had a little back patio space available if you wanted to stay there to enjoy your drinks. Ordering on the phone was simple, and the staff were very friendly. They even helped me find the right size in a sweatshirt so I could walk away with a little RR swag. Hope to visit the inside of the cafe one day soon!

Stopped here on a recent trip through the area. Coffee and tea are outstanding. Had the delicious biscuit with egg and house made granola. Satisifed us completely for the several hours we would be driving afterwards.
