Floyd EcoVillage is a wonderful and highly recommended place in the mountains of Virginia. It is a great, lovely, and cozy getaway spot with beautiful, well-maintained, and low-impact surroundings close to Floyd. The property is lovely and the scenery is spectacular. Guests stay in a lodge or in tidy, clean cabins. The rooms are clean, warm, very clean, super clean, pleasantly spacious, comfortable, quiet, and well-stocked. The lodge is unbelievably accommodating with a nice and well-equipped common area. The environment is reasonably responsible ecologically, living up to the eco name with no issues from solar power. There are easy-to-find trails on site to walk, including up to a windmill. Check-in is easy. Some guests note that certain rooms have bright outdoor lights at night with window shades that do not fully block the light. The lodge is not air conditioned, with fans and portable units available. Overall, it offers all the needed amenities for a good and reasonably priced stay in a simple but comfortable setting. Many guests state they will definitely return.
