Great location, quiet, spacious rooms, fun themed rooms. Hotel itself is a bit of a maze and could be better marked. Breakfast was mediocre.

This hotel is such a gem!
From the start, I loved how eco-friendly and thoughtfully designed everything is — you can really tell they care about sustainability. What makes it even more special is the heart behind it. The owners, Bauers and Wall, are so committed to the community and to growing the town in a responsible way. It feels like you’re part of something bigger just by staying here.
The staff went above and beyond — not just friendly, but genuinely excited to help us connect with the local community and discover hidden gems we never would have found on our own. It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, sustainability, and community so beautifully. I’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend it enough!

As a traveler, I've stayed at many Hotels in many cities, all over the country. I truly can say that Hotel Floyd is in the top 5 !!! This place is a diamond in the rough. Google calls it a 2 star Hotel. They are crazy, it's a 4 star Hotel. Big rooms, Clean, Excellent staff, Good breakfast, Comfortable beds, you will be very happy staying here. All rooms are named individually after local businesses. Very clever. We only stayed one night as we were riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, but next year planning a 2 night stay as it was so pleasurable.

Rude lady at the desk, would not recommend this place. We ended up renting an AirBNB instead for our group of business owners and First impressions means a lot when traveling and having a staff member treat customers rudely will lose you tons of business as you lost our business and our business colleagues as well.

Hidden gem in the mountains for after anything at VA Tech. We liked the cabin like feel and peaceful patio space outside the room to enjoy our morning coffee. Was not expecting a hot breakfast either but that was exactly what we got. Was very pleased with the hotel and staff. On my list for future events.

Great place to stay if you're in Floyd, VA. for any reason. Not only are accommodations excellent, but everything in Floyd is easily accessible from the hotel. (walking distance)
