Loved the history of the old schoolhouse and the blackboard brought back memories. I guess I’m now one of the oldies. As for the shop, looks like they have customers and this place has panels, flannels, fleece, looks like Amish material, bridal/wedding fabrics, laces, yarn, odd and ends of crafts and a few batiks as well.Cutting mats, battings, rulers, notions and others.

I had an unusual problem that I knew the folks at School House Fabrics could help me with, and they did. Problem solved.

The owner was really rude when I asked if they carried a certain type of material. She couldn’t answer any of my questions and threw a fit when I asked what type I’d need. I’m new to sewing and I figured they’d be good to call and ask about what I’d need for a certain project. Super unhelpful woman and literally told me to be quiet after interrupting me. You’re better off going to Joanne’s or Hobby Lobby! They’re much more personable there. Or just order online. Way bigger selection. It’s not worth going to this place after talking to this disrespectful, condescending woman.

These sweet ladies are the best! I love the fabrics! I could spend $1,000 if I had it to spend! I love making quilts! Lots of novelty fabrics as well!

Drove 5 hours to see half empty shelves. They do have some unique items, but for the most part, the selections are underwhelming and outdated. The hype about this store is definitely over spoken.Good thing we made it a 3 day camping trip. We'll have a good time on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Meadows of Dan Campground. 5 stars for them btw.

Not at all what I was expecting. Very disorganized, lots of empty shelves and hooks. Also, I called about handicapped accessibility and was told that the first floor was accessible and that there was a ramp to the bridal and fancy fabrics and trims. We never found a ramp or the section. One of my traveling companions covered the entire building. At least there was plenty of parking. But certainly not worth the two hour drive it took to get there.

I was on Pinterest when I saw the ad. I haven't been there yet but the photos are worth a thousand words. I can hardly wait to get there. We will taking the 5 hour drive and making a camping trip out of it. See you when we get there!

Many floors of fabric. Good place to go for beautiful fabrics fo making quilts and cards. Have many other supplies needed for sewing. Top floor has upholstery and tablecloth fabric. One drawback is not handicap accessible.
