My friends and I had a blast in Floyd. The Pine Tavern Lodge was perfect. The rooms were clean, cute and comfortable. And, very affordable. The host was wonderful.

We went to the Pine Tavern for a quick fall getaway with a friend of ours. She rented one of the rooms & we stayed in the cabin. When we first arrived we were greeted by the owner Dave. He is so incredibly warm & friendly & quite frankly should be voted best smile in Floyd. He showed us our accommodations & the little ins & outs of each unit. The units are all nicely decorated & well appointed. He recommended things for us to do in floyd as well. Here's our favorite part. The communal firepit! Dave set us up every day so we could enjoy the beautiful fall weather & stars around this firepit. We met fellow travelers & had great conversations. The only detriment is for light sleepers like myself. Remember to bring your ear plugs as it's right off the highway. I feel pretty petty for bringing it up but I do always try to very honest in my reviews. If you do that everything will be right in your world.Do not let that last word of caution deter you. This place is so homey & cozy. You can tell the owners love what they do & it shows in every corner of the place. Thanks again Dave & Robin for such a lovely stay. We'll see you soon!

We just left there and I couldn’t wait to write a review. This little place is awesome and conveniently located close to the town of Floyd dining and shopping. It is perfectly clean, beautifully decorated, pet friendly, comfortable with premium bedding, tv, coffee and tea, snacks, etc. I highly recommend and hope I get an opportunity to return in the near future. And by the way, our host Dave was great. Escorted me inside and showed me all the details. We loved it!Rooms: There is a separate sitting area from the bedroom that is great for reading and enjoying peace and quiet while sipping tea or coffee.Nearby activities: Floyd is a beautiful, all American, small town with lots of great shoppes and restaurants.Safety: We felt very safe in our room.Noteworthy details: There’s plenty of coffee and tea neatly tucked away in the drawer beside the mini fridge that is equipped with a freezer. The back porch has chairs for sitting and enjoying the view. There’s also a fire pit but we didn’t get a chance to check it out.

My daughter and I stayed in room 7 for a night after driving the Blue Ridge Parkway all day. What a perfect place to stay! We were shown to our room and oriented to everything inside by the owner, Dave. He recommended a local restaurant for dinner, which was so good! They put a lot of thought into the furnishings and linens to make it such a comfortable place to stay. Will definitely stay here again!

We had the BEST stay at pine tavern lodge this past weekend! The rooms were clean and spacious, they were all very tastefully decorated, and the added bonus of having a little sitting area and wet bar really made the room perfect for what we needed. Our group- an entire wedding party- rented the whole lodge for the weekend, and the owners just could not have been any more lovely or accommodating! The property has a nice firepit for guests to use, beautiful views of rolling hills, and a large cleared field out back that I’m positive would have made a great picnic or barbecue spot! The setup of the building could be described as individual apartments with outside walk-up access, similar to a split level motel- but don’t let looks deceive you!! The hotel is adorable! :)We will definitely be returning in the future, whether it be for a VT vs. WVU game or with the entire family for our yearly family reunion. Thank you so much to Dave and his wife!

The hotel was really quaint. Exactly what you would be looking for a in a small quaint town. It was super clean. The owner/staff were super friendly. They had plenty out grounds outside the room to walk your dog.Tje lodge is right off the road so you do get some roa noise but not bad.The lodge was very convenient to downtown Floyd and the price was super reasonable along with the pet fee.I'd stay there again in a heart beat.Rooms: They room was quaint and very comfortable. Rooms were super clean and bed was very comfortable.Nearby activities: The lodge is only about a mile from the tiwn center. The main reason I went was to see was the Floyd General store and go to listen to the music they offet in the evening.Safety: Even though the lodge is right off the highway I felt safe.Food & drinks: They provided a few snacks and had a coffee station in the room along with a microwave and refrigerator.

Thank you, Pine Tavern Lodge, for an amazing visit! The hotel and experience were everything I had been told they would be. Having the firepit ready with firewood, the fire starter right there along with lighter......just doesn't get much better than that!

Floyd is the best little village in this part of America and the Pine Tavern Lodge is perfectly located to make the most of it all.
It is not luxurious but it is comfortable and they provide everything you need for a wonderful stay.
Some local places to visit
The Red Rooster
The Country Store
The spitting Pig
And a world class chocolate shop.

This was like having a house on vacation! Along with our lovely room with two full beds was a living room with a fridge, freezer, glasses, plates, bowls, a sink (plus the one in the bathroom! The staff was very king and they provided all you could need including fun snacks, ice already made in the freezer, and mints! What a great place to relax when not listening to music in Floyd!

It's a GREAT PLACE TO STAY. Very clean, nicely renovated, and decorated with beautiful antiques fitting the style and character of the unique designs used in construction of this early 1927 Motor Lodge. Price is better than reasonable. The owners/operators take special care to insure comfort and satisfaction of their guests. Bed mattresses are super comfortable, bed sheets were perfectly fresh pressed and fitted with no wrinkles to be seen. My stay was awesome and I will return, Enjoy!

Loved our stay at the Pine Tavern Lodge. Robin and Dave have created a warm, cozy home away from home. Our cottage was well appointed with everything we would need. Appreciated the frig with freezer, coffee maker that allowed us to brew our own beans (but they also supplied a nice option) and wine opener with wine glasses. It was quiet and so convenient to everything Floyd has to offer.

We so enjoyed our overnight stay here we have vowed to come back in the fall. The style is road-side retro. The lodge has been lovingly restored and the rooms tastefully decorated. Our room was larger than anticipated and the price was reasonable. I loved the back porch as well as a spot to hang out and relax. Can't wait to return and dwell a bit longer.
