Floyd, VA appears to have a lot of interesting shops and restaurants. And I hear it's a great place to experience real country music. It is a pretty little town with great views. But it is not for anyone with mobility issues. If you walk with a cane or need a walker, like I do to get around, Floyd is not for you. Oh, the buildings are mostly accessible but there isn't anywhere to park. There are very few on street parking places and one very small municipal lot across the street from the Country Store. We were there for three days recently and never found a parking spot. We never got to experience the food or music that is supposed to be Floyd, Virginia. I won't be going back. They do not appear to need nor want the business of the physically impaired.

Floyd is COOL! NOT as Country as I would have thought though I mostly stayed on the "Gallery" BlackWater Loft and ART Gallery Side of the Street! I did visit the "Floyd Country Store"! Big on ART and Coffee from what I could see...So I'll guess they have Dark Cold winters, a Glorious Spring and cool Summer! Ice Cream! They have a Creamery here! I ran out of time to check it out on my first visit! Looking forward to my next visit! 2015, January Town of Floyd Declared Winner (Overall) "Most Friendly Yelpers on yelp" RodO Awards!!!
