When I lived in Virginia-I always used them! They are wonderful and treated my pets like their own. I live in Arizona now although i have different pets since the others have passed on and my kennel here is wonderful-I miss them so much.

Bear loves Debbie and Joe. Last place I would leave him, he was always dragging and moping for a few days after I would pick him up. Since I've switched to Barking Bungalow, he seems happier when I come to pick him up. Thank you Debbie and Joe for taking care of Bear while I'm gone. Its his home away from home.

Joe and Debbie are reliable, and LOVE animals. I have used this kennel for years with my dogs and even my bird, and have never had any reason to worry. My animals come home in a good mood and they never hesitate when they go back the next time! The location is great too. This great couple is a real find and I'm so glad to have found Barkin Bungalow.

So nice to have a groomer/kennel near-by and at very reasonable prices! Joe & Debbie really love dogs cats and other pets and they show it! No more trekking all the way into Bedford or Lynchburg when leaving on a vacation.

I’ve taken my dogs to the Barkin Bungalow for several years now and always had the best experience. The owners are extremely dedicated and you can see how much they love the dogs who stay with them. I always feel like I’m leaving my Doberman with a friend and they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure he’s given the best care. I highly recommend them!

Please do not take your pets here. I am currently sitting at the emergency vet waiting on my 8 month old Goldendoodle and to pay the $725 bill. We dropped our two dogs off on Wednesday at 4:00. I had given them a bath just before taking them. We picked them up Friday at 4:00 pm so they were only there two nights. When they brought them out they were matted and there is no way to completely explain the way they smelled. It was the strongest urine smell I have ever smelled. They were completely covered in it and God only knows what else. We had to ride home with the windows down and I had to bathe them both immediately when we got home. At 2:30 am our Goldendoodle began throwing up. She threw up constantly and began throwing up nothing but blood. I brought her to the emergency vet and was advised that she has a severe gastrointestinal infection and that it is a result of severe stress and trauma. They advised that it was a direct result of being boarded here these past few days. Please, please do not take your pets here. Save them the trauma and you the money.

We've used Barkin Bungalow several times. The owners are very kind and my dogs enjoy going to see them.
