My older brother lives in Assisted Living in Lynchburg, VA and I'm his POA. I had his 2023 taxes done at the H & R Block office in the Graves Mill Center in Forest, VA on 2/14/23. I was told by the preparer that I would receive a $20 gift card for referring him. I was also told by the office manager that I would receive a link within 30-45 days for the gift card. However, I never received a link at all for the gift card. After numerous emails and calls to H & R Block to resolve my issue, I was told by them that I would not receive the gift card as promised. What a joke! I've never in my 67 years been treated this way! I've been a long time H & R Block customer, but not anymore! Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else to have your taxes done! TOO MUCH HASSLE!!!

If you actually want your returns DO NOT FILE HERE. Filed in March and still nothing by June. Every time you call you get redirected to irs and told itll take hours to get through. The agent I filed with also seemed to not care if I existed what’s so ever and any person I’ve talked to over the phone has been mediocre at best. Seriously do yourself a favor and go anywhere else if you actually want to get what you are owed.
