Two employees Matthew and Corey both went above and beyond to help us today when another goodwill turned us away. Thanks guys!

The store is full of broken, overpriced garbage. I've seen employees let resellers into the back to get first dibs. If you're looking for affordable items Lynchburg Treasure Hunt is way better.

For context, I suffer from cerebral palsy and use crutches. My parents and I went clothes shopping here when a group of three men started laughing at me and mocking me. They said stuff such as "Mommy, look at my big boy pants!" and "Mommy, could you zip up my big boy pants?". My father then started a fight with them and they lied to the employee stating that my father had committed an unprovoked assault on them. The manager then trespassed us and the bullies got to stay.

Say open at 9... Definitely not open.Tons of staff inside doing nothing at 9... doors locked... every other Goodwill opens at 9am.Avoid this location, rude staff.

Most of the employees befriended the handful of resellers crawling around the store and actively let them get first pick of racks and bins. I’ve gotten stopped multiple times for looking at new racks but see the local resellers flying through every single new rack that is just pushed out, getting first dibs on anything that goes into the store.Just a couple of days ago, I personally witnessed an employee bring something new out of their stock room and directly hand it to a known reseller that is there practically every day.I also saw a younger girl who is known around Lynchburg for being a reseller go to the stock room doors to let a worker, i believe his name was Mike, or something like that, know she was there so he knows to bring out some good stuff that she gets first pick of to resell. How is that allowed?Extremely unfair to all of their other customers that are looking for nice stuff for a low price because they can’t afford expensive things. I used to find a lot of good stuff at this Goodwill but haven’t in a long time because of all the unfair treatment the regular customers get at this location. It’s got to stop.

This used to be my go to store for a great selection of women’s clothing. Now they have changed the format to a “boutique” style and the prices are the same as if I were to buy in store. Please bring the old Goodwill back!

Goodwill has gotten so expensive. Sometimes it's more expensive than stores. And if they are going to charge so much they need to have more dressing rooms! Their return policy is so strict that I don't want to leave before I try stuff on. If it's going to be like that, then they need more dressing rooms.

As a former employee this location is horrible to work for.Angie Mitchell is a unpleasant, unprofessional person, she keeps a toxic and hostile work inviroment and will "trow you under the bus" to save her own butt in a heartbeat. The district manager Jerry Parr is no help and will not get involved in any store problems he will tell you to " handle it internally ".If you do go to human resources with a problem do not get Dan Carvel, there is no confidentiality at all ever thing will get back to whomever you have a problem with. People are going to read this and say disgruntled ex employee,no not disgruntled just angry for being a hard worker and being treated like I was ,Goodwill is now only interested in money and that's all, they have forgotten what the company was started for. This has happened to others as well.

I did not appreciate the way I was spoken to today by an elderly employee. I had pulled something out of a bin he was using and I didn’t realize until he said “Hey” twice that he was speaking to me. I turned around to see what he needed to tell me so badly that he couldn’t even say ma’am or miss or something instead and he says “You can’t do that.” And I told him I was unaware of that rule and he said something along the lines of “if we let people do that everyone know would be hovering around picking things out”. I understand there being rules and I’m happy to abide by them, but the way he addressed the situation was not very polite and I didn’t appreciate the way it was handled. Plus, he was actively putting the stuff on the shelf so I didn’t see the harm in grabbing an item he was about to put on the shelf within the next minute.

Anything decent that is donated is pulled to be sold online or priced so high the original customers in their vision statement can not afford to buy them. Racks are triple checked to ensure nothing decent is regular priced. It has become a sad Ann Taylor flea market.

Pretty sure I met the grumpiest person in the world yesterday while trying to donate goods here. Pulled my trailer up and heard the man in his forties grumble “you gotta be flippin kiddin’ me” before I even had the chance to speak. We had several pieces of nice furniture that he rejected due to “surface wear”. Ironically, a young lady came and said she wanted them. So goodwill missed out on a nice sale, which I don’t feel bad at all about since this guy was so abrasive. It’s sad how this place treats people who are just trying to donate goods. Next time I’ll just go to the dump.

They have increased their prices so much that it doesn't make sense to shop there anymore. $7.99 for a small women's cotton tee shirt. I might as well buy new at that price and it would be less expensive. Shame, I love the idea of not wasting clothes, but I can't afford these prices.
