Customer Service is alive and well in Northern Virginia!
I traveled to Alexandria to spend the night at grandma’s so that I could move my daughter into college in Baltimore early the next day. The problem: my brakes were locking up, creating an unsafe driving experience and extreme heat from the brakes. All my daughter’s stuff is in the truck, replacing anticipation with anxiety.
I registered for service Wednesday night with Hollin Hall automotive expecting them to say the earliest they could take me was next week. I was surprised when they called to ask for more detail, and hopeful when they said I could bring it in first thing the next morning.
The next morning I met the shop manager, Ron Robertson, who exemplified what the forgotten art of customer service looks like. Pragmatic, transparent, efficient, and relentless describe how he diagnosed the problem with his team, came up with a solution he felt comfortable with (e.g., no compromise on safety), and then provided a ride back to grandma’s given the wait for parts.
Incredibly, he called at 1:30PM having fully replaced the front brakes - the calipers, rotors, pads, and hoses - as well as rebalancing the wheel the weights had fallen off from the high temperatures of having a brake rubbing.
I was able to complete moving my daughter in to her first year of college the same day because of the care and attention provided by Hollin Hall Automotive. Thanks for getting me back on the road safely and for the absolutely second to none customer experience.

I’ve had a pleasure of using Holland Hall automotive on two different occasions in the last year. In both cases, I’ve had wonderful experiences. The team is great with communication and providing affair and accurate estimate. Work has been done timely, and Pricing came in about 20% less than the dealership on both issues I have to have resolved for two different vehicles. I will be using their service as my primary auto repair shop in the future.

I went to Hollin Hall to have the brakes replaced on my Subaru. Ron and his team took care of me, they were honest and fair during the process. I would recommend this autoshop and will definitely return for future services.

Appointment was convenient to make, work was done mostly to my satisfaction.
However, they could have informed me about a small defect on one wheel before they mounted it; had they done so, the company that sold me the wheel would have replaced it for free and paid shipment cost.
