Checkout lines tend to be long at this location and they rarely have the same selection that the Culpeper store has but you still get Aldi prices and quality.Update: Despite being completely remodeled not that long ago, the store seems dirty and unorganized. Produce never looks that great here anymore.Update 2024: The store has improved some and the self check out is a huge improvement.

System forces you to buy a bag. I was buying 1 drink to consume in the car. I don't need a bag. I just left and will never return to an Aldi. That's crazy to force people to buy a bag they're not using. That's extremely scummy

My friend and I did an online order and then decided to go inside to shop when one of the toys we ordered were canceled because of stock! We paid and my friend forgot her cell phone at the checkout and we realized it and I went inside and asked the only cashier at the time was a cell phone turned in he stated no! We continued to look and search for it I asked him again hoping someone had turned it in by this time & again he said no! So again we looked and looked well this time I asked a different associate and it was a female stocking and she stated I told him ( referring to the cashier I asked 3 times) so as we followed her to the office I said SIR SHE SAID SHE TOLD U WHEN U ASKED ON THE WALKIE-TALKIE IT WAS IN THE OFFICE WHYD U TELL ME NO?!) HE THEN YELLS DONT TAKE IT OUT ON ME IM NOT THE ONE!!!!! I said are you threatening me?! Hi stated I was going too make a complaint online with ALDIS regarding your behavior and he said GO AHEAD I DON’T CARE IM HERE ALL THE TIME ANYWAYS WHO CARES?! I’ll never step foot in any ALDIS EVER AGAIN! He said that with all the confidence in the world that he will have no repercussions regarding his actions!!! He was running the register right infront of the office door& we were calling her phone back to back as well! He was a heavy set brown haired with facial hair and very curly wiry hair and very very rude!!

I love Aldi. The quality of their food and their prices are great, even though these days everything is going up. (Thank you, you know who!). Great Aldi buys, for me, include Kalamata olives (yum!), cheese cubes (Colby-Jack) are my favorites, their white bread (50 cents a loaf--can't beat it!)!And their American cheese singles (under $2 a package and even more delicious than Kraft.). Cream cheese is good, their butter is good, and their hot dogs and buns are good too. Happy shopping!

Don't get me wrong, I love Aldi. I have six children and I have managed to stay in my grocery budget for years thanks to Aldi. The Plank Road one usually has a good selection and good employees. I just got on here to say that I am getting tired of choosing items that are clearly marked down, and then looking at my receipt when I get home and finding out that I was charged full price. With the rising grocery prices, I have learned to keep an eye out for those items that are marked down, either in hand written signs, or now more recently, with their new printed sign system. I thought the new system might help them enter the price into their computer sooner, but its almost worse, to the point I would almost think it's being done on purpose. I have tried watching the cash register as every item goes through, but I am usually busy loading my items onto the the belt and I have young children I have to keep an eye on. I have tried asking the cashier to watch certain items, but they seem to get irritated and I don't often remember to keep track. Checking out is speedy at Aldi as you all know, and for me to get my entire grocery cart loaded up on the belt and not slow down the line means I am pretty busy the entire time the checker is checking my stuff. I know I could bring it back, but then I feel like I would have to prove that the item is marked down, and I just don't have time to make return trips to Aldi all the time. I'd just like to say I think if you mark things down, you need to have some sort of system where it gets put into your computer immediately. I feel like I got ripped off every time this happens.
