First time coming to this location and it will be my last. The staff were unorganized, extremely unhelpful, inconsiderate, and did not care about the numerous customers in line. The customers did not know where the line for checkout was and it created confusion for many. If you paid with cash, you will be punished and will have to wait longer in line and get skipped by those who are not paying in cash. Had to go to Aeries attached next door to checkout since those at American Eagle are incompetent at what they do and have no urgency or desire to assist their customers.

My fiancé and I go to the mall almost every weekend to shop and we always stop in at American Eagle to see Chris W. and Catherine. They provide excellent customer service and show genuine care for our wants/needs. I could never wear Mom jeans, as they didn’t fit my athletic build, and Chris showed me the American Eagle Curvy Mom jean. They are the best jeans I’ve ever worn, making me confident and comfortable in my body. If I could rate 10 stars, I would.

The so-called manager, "Chris" is the rudest person I have met in my entire life. He was disrespectful to my kids, he thought they were shoplifting. The fitting rooms are also very nasty, as are most of the staff at this location. I will ONLY be shopping at the Potomac store, they're nicer, and you lost a loyal customer due to Chris.

I come to this store twice a month to treat myself and I’ve always done exchanges when my products don’t work for me. Jessica the manager refused to refund/exchange my leggings because my barcode wasn’t popping up on my receipt and the tag wasn’t on my pants. I leave and wait for my barcode to come up and start to read the return policy and it says “If you are not completely happy with a purchase, just return it for an exchange or full refund. Returns with a receipt will be refunded in the manner in which the original purchase was made.” So I contacted aerie customer support for help. Jessica is terrible. I’ve never had an issue at this location. I won’t be returning. Even when I had my barcode come up she still refused to give me a refund.

Paid $80 for 2 tank tops, only to get home and see the alarm sensors were never removed. They didn’t alarm when we left, and since I can’t get them off, the shirts can’t be worn and one was needed tomorrow. So now I will have to go back in another day, just to have the sensors removed, but since the shirt can’t be used tomorrow, which was the whole reason for going, I guess I will go back for a refund instead.

All of the sales associates here are friendly and helpful. They have great sales in the back of the store. I mainly like their button down plaid shirts and hoodies.

It is pricy as heck but they offer great sales. Went in there with my teenager and they were really helpful and focused appropriately on her, the shopper, instead of directing their attention to me. It was helpful and my daughter felt more comfortable getting advice from a peer versus a parent.

The sales representative (name begins with a Z) was very helpful today while shopping for my teen. I planned to purchase online and honestly dislike visiting stores but we weren’t entirely sure of the sizes needed. The sales representative helped navigate my teen through the all of the options which made the shopping trip quicker and more enjoyable for all. Customer service was perfection today!

I’ve purchased online and picked up in store, and they’re terrible. My first pickup was given to another person just because they said my name, didn’t care to check order , just handed to them, and then later the person returned to store because it wasn’t what they had ordered! So I went today for curbside, called, waited 20 minutes and NOTHING, i was extremely mad because I had to walk inside just to be told they couldn’t find my car -_-, they never called, oh and only reason I wanted curbside was because I had my kids in the car. Yeah right B.S. couldn’t find my car, they were taking the receipt off as they were bringing it out to me in the store , that would’ve been done , im sure they never went out to look for me, OH YEAH!!!! THEY DIDNT THINK TO CALL ME , EVEN THOUGH MY PHONE NUMBER WAS ON SEVERAL PAPERS IN THAT BAG. Next time I’ll drive the extra 20 minutes to go to the Woodbridge store instead. Terrible service!!
