Our puppy had GI issues for a month, finally one vet was able to cure the loose stool, 3 days after his last visit he was diagnosed with ethylene glycol poisoning. We don't have any antifreeze anywhere, and he was never near any other vehicles besides ours and none leak coolant. He was put to sleep on 2-28-2024, we will never use Banfield again...NEVER. it is my strong suspicion that someone at Banfield poisoned him. He was there from 9am to 6pm on a drop off visit and was worse when we picked him up then when we dropped him off.Don't use this Banfield ever!

The wellness plan locks you in for a year. The doctor lied and said my pet has kidney failure when she does NOT. They also charged us for a flea and tick treatment, then put us on a flea and tick wellness plan that’s an additional $20 a month without telling me. I thought I simply bought the box. I did not know it added to my monthly plan. Once it is part of your plan, you have to pay it ALL year, no canceling it because it is one of the millions of signatures you sign without reading anything. They show you nothing before you sign! BEWARE! I will NEVER get Banfield’s wellness plan again once these three cancel out for my three pets.

I've been taking my dogs to Banfeild for over a year. There is always some type of issue when it comes to my smaller dog to the point they would lie about the vet being out and needing to reschedule. However when I insisted on being seen die to them making me take time from work to stay for his visits, she was there. She never acknowledged us and the staff were downright rude to me and my dog. When I tried to go to a different location due to my other dog needing medication and care, they won't return my calls to get an appointment. Yet, this company continues to take our money each month while my dogs go untreated by them. It's downright disgusting behavior by the people that are supposed to care for my pets! Shame on you!

This Banfield can usually get you in on short notice appointment… But good luck getting them to answer the phone! On multiple occasions I have called a dozen or so times in an hours time frame and not once have they even answered and asked to put me on hold. They will hang up the call instead of answering. I have been in store and have even witnessed others call and the front desk will just let the phone ring instead of answering… very frustrating!!

The only reason we gave 2 stars is because the vet was thorough and knowledgeable. Otherwise, we will never return to this location. We normally use the Massaponax location and LOVE everyone there. The Fredericksburg location was extremely disorganized today and at first gave my husband the wrong medication for our cat. After making him wait at the checkout section for 30 minutes to fix an error on their part (undercharged us by .90 cents), they asked if we needed anything else… yes our CAT! They were going to let us leave without our animal! Such a joke. I understand people have bad days, but it was one mistake after the next here today, we will continue driving farther to use the Massaponax location.

Banfield is my favorite vet. I love that I can go to any Banfield with my pup, which allows me to use my wellness plan at multiple vets when traveling or needing an appointment somewhere else when my closest vet is booked. They keep great notes on my baby to provide excellent custom care. I've used Banfield, specifically the Fredericksburg location, for ten years. I love that they send flea and tick prevention to my house, so we are never without coverage, and it is included with my monthly payment. For annual dental cleaning, they always make sure my baby is comfortable. Teresa, who has been there for years, always tries to accommodate us when my boy is sick, needs shots, or if I need a copy of vet records. The facility is clean, and the staff is always friendly. I'm a lifetime customer and always recommend Banfield!

Usually I have an ok experience at Central Park Location, but today was different. A nurse (I won’t use name) was very impatient with my injured puppy who understandably didn’t want a cone on his head. She was very irritable and aggressive towards my pet. When she brought my dog out she uttered “now you can be chaotic with your owner.” Or something of that nature. I had to leave out the store and put the cone on myself. I understand by dog is high energy, but I expect better from a professional on how to handle dogs with all type of different temperaments. I want to feel as though the nurses and vets love and care for my pet. She did not make me feel comfortable that my pet was in good hands today.

Starting at just 11 weeks old, the vets at Banfield gave my Chihuahua 40, I repeat, 40 vaccinations over 5 years, most of which were Non-Core and unnecessary. Who benefited from all these vaccines? Banfield and Big Pharma. One vet in particular disfigured my pet by giving Rabies vaccines in my Chihuahua's hind legs against my wishes. With one injection, my small Chihuahua developed hair loss which resulted in a bald spot the size of a penny. When one leg was damaged, the vet moved to the other leg to complete the disfigurement. The hair never grew back. Each Rabies shot resulted in an allergic reaction. The vets at Banfield gave my small Chihuahua 3 and 4 vaccines at a time, including combo vaccines (Distemper Parvo, DA2PP etc.), which overloaded his small body. His immune system was not developed to withstand such toxic overloads. With every vaccine, my pet experienced an allergic reaction. When Banfield wouldn't treat him for what they had caused, I had to go to an Emergency Clinic. After 5 years, I had had enough and cancelled my plan on its anniversary date. That's the only way you don't have to repay the whole plan if you cancel early. You may think you're getting a bargain at Banfield because you don't pay for vaccines up front, but the price is built into your plan so that you do pay. My dog did not need 40 vaccines. That is absurd. Once vaccinated, the animal has immunity, usually for life. Revaccinating will not give more immunity. Instead, all of these vaccines caused my Chihuahua severe damage. The vets at Banfield don't care about the health and well-being of animals, only money. This is the damage the vaccines caused. The Aluminum and Mercury contained in every vaccine accumulated in his brain and caused dementia. Is it any wonder that so many dogs today get dementia which was unheard of years ago? Those toxins and others, along with contaminants and foreign proteins, caused tumors and cancer in his intestines and spleen, which required surgery. The toxins also led to heart valve disorders, chronic ear infections, and a compromised immune system. On one occasion, standing in the lobby and looking into the exam area in the hallway, I witnessed staff standing around a tall exam table, not paying attention to the dog sitting on top of it. Suddenly the dog fell off the table (about a 4 foot drop) and hit the floor. I told this to the receptionist who refused to give me the pet owner's name. I wanted to tell her what had happened in case her dog had been injured by the fall. I doubt the owner of that dog ever found out about that incident. Think twice about over-vaccinating your dogs and cats. One vaccine, after 16 weeks of age, should provide immunity for life. That includes immunity for Rabies shots. Verify this with a titer test, which is a blood test that shows antibodies for the disease. Most vets don't care about your dog's immunity from disease, they want your money for vaccines which are a billion dollar industry. Find a holistic vet who cares about animals. Avoid Banfield like the plague. Educate yourself on vaccines (Core and Non-Core) including a wealth of other information at dogsnaturallymagazine.com. Natural immunity is far superior to any vaccine. Real science proves that.
