Friendly people but dishonest bank. Given false promotional offer to open new account, which was completed in time, and verified that it was complete by two different agents. The time promised to receive bonus passed, as did many other weeks. Then the story changes and the requirements were now not met. Friendly but dishonest. Will leave.

Went to the George Street location today because my dad recently passed away and we needed to remove his name from my daughter’s account. Carter was amazing and went above and beyond to be sensitive, caring and make sure our needs were met. Initially it appeared we would have to come back later because no manager was in and the two bankers had other appointments, however Carter listened to our situation, spoke with a banker, repeatedly came back to us with information and returned to the banker with more questions. Carter solved all of our issues without us having to make a return visit. Not only that - Carter was amazingly kind regarding the entire situation. The interaction truly touched my heart and reminded me of all the good people left in the world. Carter is truly an asset to Truist… and a wonderful person!

Slow. The wait is ridiculous. There are not enough locations to accommodate the city. The staff are very nice. It is a MGMT problem. Fix it.

First let me start by saying the staff here are all very friendly. That’s not the issue. They are consistently understaffed. Never once have I come here and not had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time.They are always very apologetic. I am trying to run a business. I can’t carve an hour out of my day three days a week for banking. It just shouldn’t take that long.Please hire more people.I think the part that is really irritating is the “bankers” that sit in the offices and yell “welcome to truist” but never emerge from their caves to help the stack of people standing outside their offices.My company forces me to bank here otherwise I wouldn’t return. Again nothing against the tellers.

Rachel Bowen did a phenomenal job at assisting my husband and I with our HELOC loan. We had just given birth to our daughter, and Rachel came to our house to finalize the loan and brought our daughter newborn supplies and clothes. This is going above and beyond our expectations and have recommended her multiple times to our friends and family. Thank you Rachel so much!

Avoid. Customer service is horrible at multiple branches. Minorities for the most part are not offered any free checkings account. Been with this bank for years and was always obligated to pay. Lending is horrible! Agents aren’t informed and do not hold each other accountable for mistakes on their end. Has had better banking with pnc and they aren’t much better. Stick to credit unions. May be less accessible at times regarding physical locations but definitely worth it overall.

So I just heard back from the FDIC, who I complained to about how BB&T treated us. They're buying the excuse that providing the information on the Contact from constitutes a contract. I call BS on this one - to have a contract, there have to be terms. There's no terms. Its a form, asking for information - no more, no less. And no mention of refunding our appraisal fee, either, even though our loan with them is dead. We've had to order a new one through a new lender. Can't wait for my direct deposit to change banks so I can dump this l**** of a bank! And they took TARP funds, too, but now won't loan it out to we the people, who bailed them out. Unbelievable.

BB&T made my purchase of my leased car so easy. I met with Brenda who was absolutely exceptional and helped make a somewhat frustrating situation so much better. I plan on transferring all my accounts to them and using them for everything because I was treated like a person whom they actually took interest in.
