Unacceptable Service and Disrespectful Management
My experience with Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. was, without question, one of the most frustrating and unprofessional encounters I’ve ever had with a supplier in the construction industry.
I purchased roofing materials, including shingles, and was shocked at the lack of integrity and basic customer service. When I initially visited the store with my roofing contractor, we were quoted by the guy who sets in the front desk, I forgot his name, a significantly inflated price. Later, when I followed up by phone, the price had mysteriously dropped by $1,500 — a glaring inconsistency that raised immediate concerns about transparency and pricing practices.
I requested delivery of the materials, even offering to pay any associated fees. To my disbelief, I was told delivery was simply not available — not that day, not the next, and not at any point that week. No flexibility, no solutions — just a flat-out refusal. the Lady who was next to him helped me to process the transaction and then I escalated the issue to the manager, hoping for at least a reasonable conversation. Instead, I was met with blatant rudeness and complete disinterest. The manager refused to engage, listen, or even step out of his office to discuss the issue professionally. I waited for 20 minutes and he was acting that he is busy on the phone.
When I was finally forced to pick up the materials myself, the situation became even more absurd. A staff member initially said he would assist in loading the materials onto my trailer. But the moment I brought the trailer around, he disappeared without a word. I approached the manager again, hoping for support, and he refused to assist — not even with a forklift. Instead, they simply dumped the entire load, enough shingles for 50 square feet of roofing, right outside their exit door and onto the public sidewalk.
There I was left alone to manually load every single bundle by hand, while the staff stood by indifferent. No help. No apology. No professionalism.
Since then, I have been having VERY BAD BACK PAIN.
This was not just poor service — it was degrading, exhausting, and deeply disrespectful to me as a paying customer. Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. treated me with outright disregard. Their pricing is inconsistent, their service is dismissive, and their leadership seems completely unaccountable. It’s unacceptable for any business, let alone one serving contractors and homeowners who rely on reliable, timely service.
Avoid this company at all costs. There are far better suppliers out there who will treat you with the respect and professionalism you deserve. Beacon in Fredericksburg has lost my business permanently, and I would strongly urge others to think twice before trusting them with their time or money.

Just did a delivery of shingles. After being in traffic all day, from MA to VA 100% on 95, I got here and 3 guys unloaded me in less than 10 min. Y'all made my day.
