Braehead Farm is a full operating farm open to the public daily, year round. It is a great family friendly location and a real hidden gem within the city limits. Visitors can enjoy pick-your-own produce and pumpkins, watch and feed rescued farm animals, and explore features like a playground, hay rides, and a corn maze. There is a farm market for autumn goodies and a lunch kitchen, though the food is considered just okay. The farm is pet friendly with kind staff. Some areas like the playground and special festivals have a cost, but visiting the fields is free with payment only for what you pick. It is a decently priced destination where families have a great time.
Everyone was so friendly. My family and a friend's family met here for a playdate before dinner. Many other families and children playing here as well. Dirt piles, playground, swings, oh my. The kids loved it. My husband and I enjoyed the farm store with delicious fresh homemade pumpkin muffins and a variety of hot sauce.
