This is second time happened already that I always extra charge I have a seven items only then when I saw my receipt 9 items charge. I live 45 minutes away so let it go .. So next I’ll make sure they charge right. This cashier did twice already so I definitely watch her next time. She’s rude too not even saying thank you or good morning.

Goodwill has evolved over the years. Bargains used to rule the day but are not as common as they used to be. They are rapidly becoming a retail price based store offering used rather than new items. Many items are anywhere between 10 to 50 percent less than brand new retail. In some cases the prices are actually higher than new retail. They are competing with other retailers who often have sales and discounts on new merchandise that consumers can purchase for less money than a purchase of used items offered by goodwill. Many items are not complete and missing parts, so check to make sure before you buy. I recently purchased a set of automotive jumper cables for the same price as a new set at Walmart. The retail sticker and receipt were both on and in the box. It was priced $2.00 higher than the retail price. Reason I purchased was I was there, they were there, and I needed a like new set. Didn't mind helping the cause. The clerk at least dropped the price down to the buy it new retail price when I brought it to their attention. They have a no return policy now so make sure an item works before you buy. In an ever changing world of new thrift shops and the new bin type stores, goodwill may need to take a look at pricing structure. Their items are donated so the only costs involved are payroll, rent, utilities, and waste management. I have spoken with several other shoppers over the past year and many agree that the pricing on items makes them less likely to shop there in the future. On their present course of higher pricing I would speculate a steady decline in business for them over the next few years. One other item to consider is a store named goodwill with goals to help the community may want to consider helping families in need with at least some clothing. I know of several instances where families lost their home to fires leaving them nothing but the clothes on their backs. Goodwill does not offer even minor level help to this type of family crisis. Thankfully there are other organizations that are willing to help.

These stores use to be favorite place to go. Lots of hidden treasures. Now lots of higher prices. Found 3 dollartree pizza pans. Still with the logo new. 1.25 there. Priced 3.99 each at Goodwill. Sad and shame. Will start going to yard sales for good deals and prices. Don't pay over new prices for free donations.

Staff can be unfriendly sometimes. The prices are also unusually high on a lot of items. For example I have seen a faded candle that has lost its smell that sells for 1 dollar brand new, and here it was marked for 2.99.

I am a handicap lady I have one leg. I went in the goodwill store and I seen that they had a lot of differentypes of walkers. That's the kind that I could use but the price was sky high. I live off of disability and cannot afford to pay a lot of money for. Handicap equipment so I asked to speak to the manager and ask what they take in the last for the handicap equipment. He said no well I was. I never pressed in any way that they are not allowed to have medical equipment in their store

The Goodwill Store and Donation Center at Harrison Crossing is the best and cleanest Goodwill in the Fredericksburg area. The staff assisting with dropoff is always very nice. It's definitely worth the short drive out to Harrison Crossing

I will never bring my donations here again. Here I am donating things I spent hard earned money on and the lady accepting them was not friendly and rude. I am completely disgusted with people who can’t show kindness these days.

I never leave empty handed. Most of my visits to this Goodwill I've found it to be neat and clean. Feels good knowing I'm contributing to something helpful to others.
