Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe my experience. Brought a chainsaw in for servicing. $60 diagnostic charge to an outside affiliate…no issue so far. Repair estimate came back at over $400 for a chainsaw I could buy brand new in the store for less than $250. Translation - scam. Spoke to the manager, whose ambivalence was pretty awful — understanding that it’s not the store’s charge, it is their reputation. Could explain why at 5pm on a Thursday the store was empty of any customers. I used to dream up reasons to go to Northern Tool. No longer.

Went for a cement mixer, turned into an hour of wasted time. Inventory said 2 in stock. Turned out nobody could find them. The problem is the amount of time it took to figure that out. Dude at checkout went above and beyond by getting some discounts for me on the front end and I was super excited. But lifting me up just to crush my dreams of cement mixer ownership is just not cool.
