I'm a client here and appreciate Dr. Ahmad, however the prices I don't get. I'm so embarrassed for my elderly neighbor whose dog was brought there for an eye issue and was charged about $600. He was released with eye drops. I really wanna know all details so I'll stop here.
I have to update my review for the simple fact Dr. Ahmad does follow ups and make sure you have details about situations. Now I appreciate that!!!

I should have written a 5-star review back during my first visit a few months ago. I'm on my second visit here (small emergency) with an elderly sick kitty and cannot say enough about the staff here. The office is clean and the people are kind and professional. They have worked us in last minute twice and are definitely my vet of choice. THANK YOU!!

Hope animal hospital is where I take both of my yorkies since there pups I trust and only go here for my two great staff and Dr.Ahmad is great and really cares about the pets.

Such a wonderful place. Dr. Ahmad and his staff are so caring. They truly care about their patients and owners. They never try to sell you services you don’t need. His bedside manner is phenomenal. Kudos to Dr. Ahmad and his staff.

The most compassionate, caring staff I've ever met. They have provided excellent care for all of my pets. In June 2022 our beloved dog had an unexpected seizure that paralyzed him from the waist down. We called in a panic, and they had us come in immediately. Sadly, there was nothing we could do and we had to euthanize him, which was horribly traumatic. The entire entire staff was beyond amazing! Dr A gave him antianxiety meds to make him comfortable and gave me as much time as I needed to just cry all over my dog and say goodbye. He made sure I was ready and explained everything to me as this was my first time losing a pet. He stayed with me while I sobbed and just hugged me. He gave my sweet boy a peaceful, compassionate passing with privacy and respect. There wasn't a dry eye amongst the staff but they still made it all about us, our dog, and our grief. They escorted us out privately as to not traumatize other pet owners and called to check on us the following day. We received a condolance card with his pawprint and a clipping of his fur signed by the entire staff and they cremated him and placed his ashes in a beautiful urn for us. To this day they ask how we are doing without him and make sure I am never placed in that room when I come in with my cat. That is a RARE find. The entire staff is exceptional! I will be loyal to them for as long as I live in Virginia. Also, they have emergency visits same day, which is awesome! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I always love to take my animals here and it's a pleasure to send people here as referrals. Dr Ahmad definitely cares about all the furbabies that walk through the door and treats them as if they were his own babies, he is honest. Upfront and kind. There are never any hidden fees, he will spend time with you you aren't just a number, The techs and all the staff are very kind and compassionate too. This is the first Vets office that our order dog isn't scared to be at, she wags her tail going in and coming out. Thank you to all the staff and the Dr for taking pride in what you do and for loving our babies as much as we do. You work so hard, do you ever take a day off?. Thank you for all that you do. Diamond and Gunner are extremely grateful for you putting them onto the road to recovery and for constantly checking on them and showing them so much love. They love visiting with you even when they are sick because they feel loved and get so much attention. Updated 2 sept 2024. Thank you again for going above and beyond..The Kay Family.

I discovered blood in my cat’s urine on a Saturday night and called Hope Animal Hospital Sunday morning and despite never having taken my cat there, they fit her in. They were so busy because another veterinarian sent several emergencies to them but they took their time with each patient. Veronica at the front desk was simply amazing, she was responsible for all things at the front, and she handled it perfectly. She was able to check people in and out, answer the phone, orchestrate dogs coming and going so that every one was safe, and all with a positive attitude that I haven’t seen in the service industry in a very long time. It’s also very evident that Dr. Ahmad cares deeply for his patients and their human parents. I can’t imagine ever taking my cats anywhere else.

Words cannot describe my level of thanks and gratitude to Dr. Ahmad and his amazing team for there immense care and compassion for our sweet dog, Cooper. During our pet emergency Dr. Ahmad made our family feel informed and provided the best care for our beloved pet and we are beyond greatful to him and his team. Our sweet Cooper is on the road to recovery and getting better everyday all thanks to Dr. Ahmad and his amazing team. We will be forever clients of Hope Animal Hospital for our furry friends needs.

While my Daisy has her own opinions and would probably give this practice a 1 star, as she is not a fan of any trip to the veterinarian. I do think this practice made the experience as easy as possible. They quickly moved us to a room, so that some dogs nearby wouldn't stress her out further. The assistant and veterinarian were all very helpful and didn't rush through the appointment. I felt like my questions were answered. I will continue to bring my cat to this vet.

Hands down the best vet I’ve ever been too. Dr. Ahmad is thorough, knowledgeable and just an all around great guy. The staff is also super nice and get you in super quick.

I'm honestly a little emotional writing this. We brought our sweet Pippa girl in when she ate something she couldn't digest. Dr. Ahmad, took care or our baby daily for over two weeks. He performed two surgeries as well as wound treatment care and daily nutrition. Most importantly he loved our girl like our own. Every day Dr. Ahmad and his entire staff welcomed us and shared in our joy as we saw improvement. We could tell they were extremely invested in the well-being of our dog. Dr. Ahmad and his team worked, digligently and often after hours to return our baby back to her normal happy self. Our family cannot say enough great things about Dr. Ahmad. He is truly in this business to help animals.

Called all over Fredericksburg to try and find an appointment for our struggling elder dog. They were the first to make it feel like they cared and offered us an urgent spot, which we gladly paid for to be able to get seen sooner. It means a lot to feel like someone else could sense our need get her checked out and was compassionate.

We are so glad we found Hope Animal Hospital. We became patients when one of our cats needed immediate vaccines to be able to travel and they had the first available appointment in our area. We couldn’t be happier to continue bringing both cats and our new puppy to Dr. Ahmad. He remembers details about our pets and shows genuine care & compassion during every appointment. A side note that warms my heart as a fur mom: none of our pets wince or whine during vaccines with Dr. Ahmad, which is something I’ve never been able to say before about any vet. 10/10 recommend Hope Animal Hospital.
