My husband ordered a custom Neil Lane ring back in September 2023 due to the size I needed. The Kay Jewelry store in Fredericksburg has one of the worst customer service. The lack of communication has been atrocious for this order. When we finally got called and said the ring was in (March 2024). The ring we went to pick up was in fact not the Neil Lane that we ordered. The assistant manager advised that the ring we ordered could no longer be made. He failed to inform us of this information & did not give any other options for any other Neil Lane ring that would be similar. I truly believe that nothing was said so that they could keep/make a sale. We will no longer be going to this store branch and are sincerely disappointed with how everything turned out. Hopefully others will not have to experience the stringing along and lack of knowledge that seems to be going on at this store.

It had been several years since I had purchased anything from Kay’s. I came in with a lot of questions, and Melissa Garvey was the sales person to help me. Since she was new to the store she did get some assistance from Hayder Khan. They were both kind, patient, and helpful. I will be back to see them! It’s great to see team work.

This is the second time I came in to get my watch battery changed out and I evened showed them the receipt that I paid for the lifetime replacement battery insurance from Kay Jewelers and they STILLL DENIED to replace my battery. Also her name was Nikki. She said that she had to take my watch and send it somewhere and that she couldn’t provide the service to change my battery. That the assistant manger will be in tomorrow and he can do it. YALL I DROVE ALL THE WAY HERE THE SECOND TIME TOO!!! the first time I drove there I was told they could look up the insurance for my watch since I bought it there last year under my account phone number and then I was told whoever checked me out at the register never put my information in correctly. They wanted $80 dollars for a new watch battery!!!! And I said it’s okay I actually have the receipt at home and I’ll bring it back to show that I paid for the lifetime battery replacement and then they DENIED ME MY BATTERY REPLACEMENT. It’s not that hard to change a watch battery either, I just know that I paid for that insurance so i want to actually use it since I paid for it!!! I’ll never buy anything from them again.

My husband and I went into Kay to shop for Christmas gifts and it was by far the worst experience we have ever had. There were only two people in the store and three employees, one of which was just standing at the counter fiddling with plastic bags. We were in the store for over 20 minutes waiting for someone to assist us. Once the employee finally came over to us she was extremely rude. We told her we were looking to get a diamond necklace or two and our budget was up to 5K. She continued to be rude and acted as if she just didn't want our business. After the third time of her making a rude comment we decided to leave and go across to Helzberg where we spent $3,500 and had a great experience. Kay will certainly miss out on a lot of money from us, as we will NEVER step foot in that store again. I don't see them being in business much longer unless they get their act together and learn decent customer service!

Don't buy gold chains here. Do your research. If you are buying gold chains read first. I can only speak to their gold sales but they are selling 10K hollow gold chains at the price of 14kt+ solid gold! You are paying for a chain that's less than 50% gold and paying 3x what any other store would sell it at. Never buy 10k. But 14kt or more. I bought at 26 Gram solid gold gold rope chain for 1900$ Tax included in another store, kay is charging 3600 for a lighter 10k hollow chain! After Kay's VIP "discount" 3000 plus tax??, what a joke. They literally tried to tell me, "have you seen gold prices recently?" And I showed them my receipt from a couple days ago. Know your gold, know what to buy

Every time I visit, I am met with a smile and a friendly atmosphere. Elizabeth in particular is who I work with, and she is my go to. She is very thorough in presenting products and services and always helps me when I have a problem with my rings. I love to work with her and have never had a bad experience. I have watched her handle unruly customers with poise and politely, which is something i wouldn’t be able to do in her situation. 10/10 would recommend you see her.

Reviews are normally left for negative things. How about a positive for a change? Elizabeth greets everyone with a friendly smile and an offer of assistance. Customer service is an obvious priority for Elizabeth and well appreciated by all who come in contact with her. A smile and a friendly face goes a long way in sales and customer service. I’m glad people like Elizabeth still exist.
