I rented 2 10x10 units for approximately 5 years while I was out of the area. One of the attendants (Jamie), claimed there was something leaking out of one of the units and had to cut the lock to enter and inspect...Soon after, there was a hiccup with payment for one of the units, after years of payments. They seized ("closed out") the one unit, leaving just the one I originally rented first. However, when I returned...I soon realized that both locks had been cut as my lock was replaced with one of theirs. I was provided with a key and once inside the remaining unit, I immediately realized something was wrong. When I moved my property from my prior residence, I was very methodical as I packed one room at a time. There was property from the unit they closed out in the remaining unit and a lot of property that should have been in the remaining unit was missing. Apparently, they ransacked both units and took what they wanted from both units, and the stuff they didn't want from the closed out unit was thrown into the remaining unit. They cherry picked both units, leaving me with clothes, a stainless steel Samsung refrigerator and a front loading washer/dryer (that I definitely would have noticed if missing due to their size). There were some storage boxes marked "kitchen" buried in the back of the unit, which was what was stored and packed in the front of the closed out unit....Because the kitchen was the very last room I packed and moved. There was a few pieces that decided not to keep because of the insects/spiders that along with the dank smell (definitely NOT climate controlled) permeated the unit. Upon emptying out my property to relocate the a much cheaper unit and more convenient location (Extra Space Storage: Plank Rd), the attendant Tiffany accosted me and my helper, pissed off because I put some property I wasn't keeping and some property that was damaged due weather (Heat/Freezing/rain puddling under the unit entrance) into the dumpster on the property. She said they only have it dumped once or twice a month and that I needed to pull the discarded items out of the dumpster. I nodding as if capitulating, and when she left in a huff completely forgot about it. So the bottom line, do not patronize this establishment...especially if you plan on storing nice, valuable items...such as 10-15k worth of power tools (brand new : circular saw, reciprocating saw, Husky compression tank, pneumatic tools such as nail gun, lugnut wrench, etc..) and almost exclusively Kobalt conventional tools that were stored in 3 separate rolling red metal shop drawer chests. Or the complete Generation 1 mint in sealed boxes Transformers collection along with every Masterpiece Transformer, and dozens more (4 6-7 80 gallon clear rubbermaid storage containers full) , all your high-end electronics (ie. multiple flat screens, Sony ES components, etc..) I did recover all my Bose and Klipsch speakers, I suspect because the box was just marked "living room". Appliances (ie KitchenAid Mixer, T-Fal Air Fryer, Soda Stream, convection cooktops, to name just a few. Or basically anything of value, except your clothing. I guess they couldn't fit in them, they do weigh on the 'heavy' side. Just drop your property off at landfill, I would be in safer and honest hands. You've been warned.... PS I attached a picture of some clothes I did recover...5-6 business suits, 10-11 Adidas track/jump suits, 15 Lacoste shirts, underwear/socks, etc...
