Update: despite what the manager says below,
it's only gotten worse. Been a couple of months since original post. went back to theater and changing review to 1 star, would make it zero if i could. So freaking dirty. The seats next to us were covered in food and grease (butter). I now hate this theater. Go to Regal if you can. This place is disgusting. Need a shower after watching a movie here. Whole theater is gross. The real reason people aren't going to the movies as much around here. I have been to much busier theaters that are very clean. Avoid this one of you can.
Original Review: I used to love this theater. Would still love it but the cleanliness is horrendous. Sitting here right now and there is trash everywhere. Very sad. Seats are always covered in butter or something sticky from previous show. They care more about getting people in and out than keeping it clean. So disappointing

My favorite theater. Love the recliners. Also like the classic movie series.

This place has only gotten worse over the years, despite their attempts at making it better. The bar for the adult theater was closed on a Sunday, leaving the downstairs bar the only way to get drinks, and they ignored us when we were there before our show, so we went up and decided to order from our seats. Big mistake, it took an hour and a half into the movie to get our order after they got everyone else's drinks. Heard that the printer in the bar wasn't working, however we still had to tell them what we ordered, interrupting us watching the movie.
I've been willing to give this place a chance over the years and have been disappointed 4 out of 5 times there. The management has been lacking since day 1 (I was there for their opening weekend), this place is obviously too big for anyone in this town to manage. The bathrooms tonight were atrocious, mildew rings in the ladies room toilets and I'm told the men's room floors were sticky. I've been to cleaner dive bars. It's time that this place shuts down and becomes more overpriced apartments.

This theater was the pinnacle of the theater experience 10 years ago, which was great in Fredericksburg where there weren’t many options. However, this is no longer the case. This theater has done down hill to the point where I actively avoid seeing movies here.
I was gifted a gift card for Paragon theaters in January 2024 and less than 2 weeks later, the theater was bought by EVO Entertainment with no notice for customer or even its employees, it was changed changed hands overnight. It took over 5 months for EVO to be able to be able to accept the gift card.
That is just the tip of the iceberg with the issue at this theater now though. The audio quality has fallen exponentially, there is no care in editing the commercials before the shows, the theaters are consistently dirty, most soap and towel dispensers in the bathrooms are empty regardless of the time of day, and they have a serious issue with staffing.
Regarding the theater being understaffed, they moved away from the box office years ago, but now even the kiosks where you can buy your own tickets are all out of order now so you have to buy your tickets at the concessions stand where either middle of a weekday or prime time on the weekends there are minimal staff at the counter causing a huge line.
I live less than a 2 minute drive from this theater and I still decide to drive to Woodbridge or Richmond to see movies because this theater has consistently let me down and not worth my time or my money. Unless they drastically improve I will not be seeing movies here any time soon.

Poor concessions, had to ask them to start our movie, urinal overflowing… not looking good under the EVO entertainment change.

EDIT: The concessions stand now asks for tips. I'm not kidding.
Ok, so this place is super uptight about moviegoers bringing in their own food; they don't care how long you've been to working on your catfish po'boy recipe to enjoy during the movie. They're pretty fascist about people only buying their drinks, too. I had my usual thermos full of bourbon and starlight mints, but they wouldn't believe that I needed to bring it for my medication.
The upside is that the popcorn is pretty good and they have those butter dispensers that you can operate yourself. Therefore, you can have a 50/50 ratio of butter and popcorn like a real American and not have that light drizzling that other theaters do as though they're your damn nutritionists. Want some butter in your soft drink, too? You know you do. Go ahead, load it up. They won't judge you here for that.
The downside is that they'll let just any skel who buys a ticket waltz right in. I tried suggesting a separate (but equal) theater for Irish Americans, but that idea was shot down by management.

Long lines, dirty counters, multiple stalls out of toilet paper, trash still in theater chairs

This theater since it's been under new management it's been kept very very dirty. The counter tops, trash everywhere and the bathrooms are disgusting. It's very bad.

The LUXBOX experience was well worth it. Kudos to all of your young employees, they are attentive and kind. Service and the movie theatre was excellent.
