The time I’ve worked here was truly so amazing! The people who work here are filled with so much love for the animals, and for each other. If you’re thinking of adopting your new fur baby, this is the place to do it

Love going in the cat rooms and playing / snuggling with them. Friendly atmosphere and the animals are cared for well.

Walked in and right out in under an hour! Process was quick, easy, and they gave me a ton of free food which I was definitely not expecting as this was my first time adopting a cat period! I would definitely recommend adopting from here. Staff is very nice and no unnecessary questions or requirements are asked unlike when I tried to adopt from PetFinder or a foster. Thank you Fredericksburg SPCA! I love my boy formerly known as Cohen!❤️

We walked into this place and walked out 30 minutes later with the sweetest kitten. She was a stray and they must have taken good care of her because she's very sweet and so playful.

Even though it was crowded for a rainy Saturday, the staff was amazing and attentive! Our new baby fur son found his forever home, and we couldn't be more elated by the love shared from the staff and fellow adopters!!! Several volunteers were being informed/trained on procedures, and I have to say the entire facility was very clean. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to adopt.... especially a kitten as they have a HUGE selection!!!!!

We rescued my amazing German Shepard/Australian Cattle Dog mix named Tex (Texaco) from Fredericksburg SPCA. Our experience was great and we got the best new edition to our family. Actually making plans to rescue from here again soon! Don't shop, ADOPT and you definitely won't regret it. ??

The Fred SPCA rehomed my baby Buddy. I had had a series of life events with in months and was left with no other option than to take him to the SPCA. They kept in contact with me and updates until he fiy was adopted. Buddy will always have a piece of my heart. Hardest thing I've ever done was leave him there. But it was the safest place I knew for him to be. The staff worked with him to keep his anxiety down. They are so caring. I knew the adoption process is easy but extensive and he is a bully breed and i knew hed find a good forever home the the Fred SPCA. The amount of work these folks put into caring for all the animals is incredible. They all are angles to our community. I am forever thankful for their help. #adoptdontshop

I wish the lady that sits on the right with brown hair to her shoulder could be a little bit nicer I could not believe how rude your to people that don't know what her position is there. Maybe she needs a sign at her spot so she doesn't have to be nasty. Otherwise everything was great.

I adopted my baby from there. Process was so easy and quick. They gave me the opportunity to spend time with each dog I favored. Until I settled on my FurBaby ?

Great people, with huge hearts, providing top notch care to animals, and their people, for 80+ years. I'm a proud customer, donor and supporter.

AMAZING!! We had a wonderful experience! All of the staff (volunteers) were friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient. I have adopted here before and would do it again. We love our new puppy and have recommended the Fredericksburg SPCA so many times in just the past three days!! Love them ?

The SPCA of Fredericksburg is involved in their community and committed to our animals in more ways than one.The one thing in particular I enjoy is the Puppy Socials that are offered on Saturdays. It gave a chance for my puppy to meet other puppies and increase his exposure to dogs and people.Every SPCA worker I meet shows enthusiasm for the animals they serve.

I adopted several animals from here but never again, my last kitten I adopted from them about a month after I had to move out from where I was living into a hotel temporarily and I called them and asked them if they could help me with the kitten temporarily and they told me no. They said the person that handled the paperwork for that was out sick and may be back on Monday. They said I could surrender the kitten but there was no guarantee I would get her back. I refused to do that as I already had taken her to the vet and had started her shots. They were closed on Monday I contacted them on Tuesday and was told the same thing the lady was out sick and nobody else could help me nobody else knew where this paperwork was. I found it hard to believe that only one person would know where paperwork is. God forbid anything happens to that one person they would be lost. It’s a case you can help them and adopt animals but don’t need there help they can’t help you if you have something unforeseen happen in your life I’m really disappointed in the SPCA.

I am fostering through this SPCA and it has been a wonderful experience so far! We also adopted our cat Umi here 10 years ago and she has been part of our family since. I definitely recommend going here to adopt a pet or if you are looking for somewhere to volunteer! *Pics of the kittens I'm currently fostering and my resident baby Umi girl. ❤️
