This afternoon I excitedly went to star nails spa expecting the service that I received the first time, while the service wasn't terrible it wasn't amazing this time. I don't remember the nail techs name but after picking a color and sitting down I told her that I wanted to do a fill, and that I was requesting coffin shaped and I asked if my nails were long enough to achieve that look. The nail tech said if I didn't shorten them at all that yes she could do that shape. So then she started my nails and when she started to file them down she use a very very sharp nail file that ended up cutting my pinky finger, she's been advised it would be an extra five dollars for the matted black color that I wanted, after cutting my literal finger she did not suggest to take any money off or anything to apologize or make up for my finger being cut. (Side note I realized after I got home that she actually cut 2 of my fingers) I have to go home sanitize my finger and put a Band-Aid on it until it heals so that I don't get an infection. The shape on one hand was fine the shape on the other hand is lopsided so while the job isn't terrible it's also not great and I also got a cut on the finger which could possibly get infected. Needless to say I am specifically requesting the nail tech that I had the first time if I ever come back here. Not only that but she also charged me seven dollars more than the original tech charged and I got the same thing the only difference was the extra five dollars for the matte which I think she charged an extra $3 for not just $5 she charged $8. At this point I'm really just at a loss for customer service in the Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Stafford areas. I have terrible luck with nail techs no matter where I go its either screwed up nails, or the customer service is so terrible that even if the nails are OK I don't ever wanna come back. So if you go to this place specifically request Sophie she is the best nail tech there that I have experienced so far.

I stopped by after passing this nail salon often while in the area. I came in as a walk-in to get my eyebrows done overall a great place was very friendly and prices were competitive to the area I only - 1 star due to a dead bug on the floor in one of the wax rooms.

Been going here for over 5 years to Sophia to get my eyebrows done, but went the recent time and she completely rushed on my eyebrows and changed them completely. Eyebrows are suppose to be sisters, they don’t even look like that. They don’t even look the same on both sides. I won’t be back and I’m pretty sad.Service: Waxing

I have been going to Plantation Nail Spa for years and they have always done a good job with my nails, but their customer service has not always been the best. I was kept waiting when I had an appointment and when I told them I didn't have time to wait they would make smart comments. I always felt like my business and time wasn't valued. So I stop going for more then two years because of the customer service. But recently I started coming back, thinking things had changed. NOT! The customer service is the worst. One Nail tech gave me a design, but forgot to put the gel top coat on it. When I put hand sanitizer on the design came off of 3 nails. I came all the way back from where I was to get it fix. The Nail tech blame the other technician when it was her design and her fault. She tried to do a rush job and it wasn't right. So I made her take the design off and redo the design. She got mad and gave me so much attitude, because of course she already got paid.Two weeks later I got my nails done by another technician and 1 came off the next day. I went back to get it fix and the same lady with the attitude told me no one could do it. And I needed to come back when the tech who did my nails was there.I was literally the only customer in the whole salon. After I told her I was not coming back and she could fix one broken Nail. She finally did after I told her about herself and asked her if she had a problem with me. I told her and the owner that I spend good money in that shop and I wasn't going to be disrespected. The owner to my surprise just made excuses for the Nail tech. After over 7 years of service I will never go back. This is why we need our own BLACK OWN NAIL SALON or Even white own, it doesn't matter. Because they continue to treat us like this but we keep coming back because there is no where else to get our nails done.

I went one day as a walk-in and they didn't have any time to get me in. So, I called this morning and got confirmed for a 4pm appointment. When I arrived, they had me pick out my color for my mani/pedi. Then, they had me sit in the massaging pedicure chair and wait. I waited for over 40 minutes and then got up and left. My feet were soaking in water for 40 minutes!!! When I went to grab my flip flop, there was a roach crawling over it. I am absolutely disgusted with the amount of time I was made to wait and the cleanliness of the facility wasn't very good either. I will not be returning to this establishment. If they schedule appointments, they should let someone know if their appointment time has changed.

I made an appointment for my daughter and myself and on top of waiting about an hour for service they didn’t even do a great job. My pedicure nail polish chipped after one day, not to mention we spent over 2hrs and almost $200 for 2 manicures, pedicures and one eyebrow waxing. I gave them two stars because staff was really nice but the cleanliness of the pedicure tubs was definitely not there and the quality of their polish was terrible if chipped after a day. It was our 2nd time going there and it will be last time I really thought there is no way they can mess up a manicure and pedicure but I was wrong.

I was so hurt and disappointed ☹️. I only went because my special tech from another shop was unavailable. A familiar face found me, so I trusted her. As she did my Pedi, she supposedly clipped a hangnail over and over. My toe had started bleeding uncontrollably. She tried everything including acetone, alcohol, and super glue. I was in pain and she appeared sorry. She even put a design on my toes saying if I don't tell she won't charge the full price because of her accident. I didn't even pay attention that she charged $50 something because I just wanted to leave. I'll NEVER return. I can't believe that happened ?

I’m so disappointed to have to leave a negative review however I left this nail spa bleeding with my nails wrecked! Went in to remove my acrylics however the nail tech was a bit of a hurry and not paying close attention, slipped, and took a chunk out of my finger. Then put cotton and acetone on it. Yikes. She was still in a hurry to remove the acrylics and unnecessarily damaged my natural nails in the process. Then charged me full price for the removal. Was in tears by then and paid it so I could exit that nail purgatory as soon as possible! Learn from my mistakes ladies and take your business elsewhere.

Worst set of acrylics I’ve ever gotten. 4 days later and they look 10x worse than they already did! They’re all different lengths because she eye balled it, the paint isn’t even on any of them, they’re peeling and chipping and the edges are sharp and look like poop!Came in w w picture of what I wanted and she did something close but not what I actually asked for. Sadly I will not be returning.
