We had our wedding at the Silk Mill in December and everything about it was just magical! From the very first moment Becca gave us our tour, we knew this was the spot we wanted to get married. The venue is rustic and steeped in history. It’s so pretty that it doesn’t require a ton of extra decor. The staff was easy to work with and do an excellent job at everything. We chose to hire a day of coordinator through the venue, Morgan. She was fabulous! Super responsive over email with any questions we had leading up to the wedding and made sure it all ran smooth on the big day. We can’t thank the team at the Silk Mill enough for everything they did to make our big day perfect. 10/10 would recommend having your wedding here!

As a professional wedding photographer, I can say that this is a “Great” location to host your wedding! They have two beautiful reception halls with the option to have your ceremony at either location. I love working with the staff there as they are organized and very professional.

Very close to old town, very old place, could use updated! Room was small, wood floors were very creaky. Dark hallways. If you like old places, this is the place to stay. Breakfast was " continental", consisted of packaged muffins, dry cereal, oatmeal and Thomas's bagels. Coffee was good but no lids in case you wanted one for the road. I understand they want to keep the " nostalgia" of this place, but still needs updates.blackout blinds would be nice

Stayed with my two sons (12 and 8) for a soccer tournament. We loved the place - distinctive, extremely friendly, and extremely helpful people. A genuine change from the regular hotel chain style, and this would be my first choice as soon as we come back. Many thanks to everyone at the Silk Mill for a lovely stay.

We only experienced the venue at this location. The venue was absolutely stunning. Dark and moody vibes but in the best way. The parking lot was extremely small and it is at the worse angle. You can get in, but it's extremely hard to get out. The parking spaces are super tight also.

Went there for a New Year's holiday celebration, it was great and lots of fun, the food was awesome, and the drinks were good and plentiful. Took some points off for the dessert, which was the only thing that could have been better.

We got married at the Old Silk Mill on Sept. 4th, 2022, and cannot recommend this venue enough!!! From when we first learned about them, to when we came to tour it, to all the pre-event communication, to the food tasting, and finally to our wedding day, every staff member we interacted and worked with was professional, approachable, kind, attentive to our needs (and wants!), and extremely accommodating. The team at the Old Silk Mill truly goes above and beyond to make your big day stress-free, memorable, and according to your vision. We also hired our Day of Coordinator through them, and she was so helpful in so many different ways b/c of her talents and also b/c she knows the in-and-outs of the venue. As for the venue itself, it is a hidden gem! The ancient red brick and the lush green grounds require very minimum decorations and look so classy and beautiful on their own. The venue came with many twinkle lights, ceiling decor, and beautiful antique furniture. The gold chivari chairs and gold flatware were a bonus for us but something the venue provides at no extra cost.Lastly, the food was incredible! We came to the tasting a month before our wedding, tried many different food options, and spoke with the chef. The result was a delicious meal at our reception! (Coffee-encrusted beef, saffron rice, and chef's special roasted veggies. For dessert, we had a dessert bar)In summary, the venue and its staff have exceeded all of our expectations!

The good things. 1. Parking lot was well lit and safe.2. Staff was friendly.3. Rooms and lobby were clean. The bad and why I recommend you Do Not Stay Hear.1. NO HOT WATER. Sign in room said to let shower run for 10 min. I let it run and run and the water never got warm. Froze my Azz trying to take a shower.2. Bed was Horrible. When you layer down you sunk 4 to 6 inches and the center caved in.3. Ceilings fan sounded like it was going to fall from the ceiling.4. Walls paper thin could hear everyone else.5. Floors slanted and creeked so loud you would never have to worry about someone seeking up on you.6. Room extremely hot with dry air. No ventilation and you couldn't use the suicide ceiling fan.7. Smell - room smelled like someone was cooking onions in it just before we got there. I have stayed in historic bed and breakfast and hotels that were well kept. This place was just run down and needed updated beds and a good plumber.
