My experience with Tiny Toes Daycare, specifically with the director Sherlise Sawyer, was frustrating and disappointing.
When I first visited the daycare, Sherlise was friendly and welcoming. She told me my son would need to be fully potty trained to attend, which surprised me, but we decided to take her advice seriously and spent the next couple of weeks working on potty training at home.
After that, I followed up with a phone call to check back in. That’s when things got confusing. She said my son would need to do a “trial day” to see how things go—which already seemed like an odd step. Most daycares don’t treat enrollment like a test run. In that same conversation, she also started recommending other daycare centers I could try. That felt strange. If the potty training rule was supposedly a licensing requirement, why recommend other centers that would have the same standards?
At that point, I called the licensing department directly, and they confirmed that potty training is NOT a licensing requirement for daycare enrollment. I also contacted their other Tiny Toes location, where the staff told me it was perfectly fine for kids to wear pull-ups during nap time—many kids there do. So clearly, the “rule” I was given wasn’t consistent across locations and was completely misleading.
Still trying to move forward, I eventually went back in person to pick up the application. The tone had shifted completely. Sherlise was no longer welcoming, and while we were in the front office, my son was just walking around—being a curious toddler. She pointed to that and said he “clearly needs structure,” which felt very judgmental, especially after only seeing him for a few minutes.
She told me I’d get a call to schedule the trial day, but that call never came. No follow-up, no explanation—just radio silence.
I’ve never met Sherlise outside of this experience, but the way we were treated made it feel like there was some kind of personal issue, which there wasn’t. I also know other families who enrolled at Tiny Toes with no issues at all, so the inconsistent treatment raises even more questions.
The whole experience felt dismissive, confusing, and honestly unfair. If a center is going to promote a nurturing and supportive environment, that should start with how they treat every family—not just the ones they choose to accept.

Our children have been going to this daycare for a little over 4 years and they are more so like family rather than a business. They're great with the kids and actually take Time to get to know and tend to a child individually and personally and learn their triggers , strengths , and weaknesses. This daycare is truly amazing and you can honestly tell they care about the kids in their facility, not just for a check but because they love what they do.

You will NEVER find a BETTER place for your child or children. My daughter always felt safe and loved and cared for in this place. She learned fast and I was always informed. The app they use here is great and you see everything you need to know for your kids. They are PASSIONATE and I am HAPPY to have taken my daughter to TINY TOES.
They make sure to encourage good behavior and push the kids to be the best versions of themselves. Ms. Lisa gave me a good tour and explained everything to me very well in the beginning. The Director Ms. Sawyer is very cool. I like how strict and direct she is, but the kids love her. My daughter’s first teacher was Ms. Angelica, but she had to move away. Ms. U is soooo sweet. Ms. Darlene is amazing with the little kiddos. Before my daughter’s fun preK graduation😂, her teacher was Ms Tabby😂😂😂. She was fun, Funny, but firm. I can’t forget Ms. Alexis ❤️ always had a big smile on her face. Hugged and loved my daughter like she was her own child. I can’t remember all the names of the teachers, but I remember how good they all were to my daughter. There were days when my daughter will ask me to wait a little while in the car so she can play some more, or finish a craft with her classmates and teachers. She is in elementary school now, and she still wants to go to TINY TOES for summer camp ❤️❤️❤️
TRUST ME YOU WONT REGRET IT HERE❤️❤️❤️

Love this Daycare! The Director & Staff are very kind and take good care of the children. The faciality is clean, and the meals they provide for the children are yummy - They are excellent with educational instruction - they go above and beyond! - They are not only just teaching ABC 123 to my 3 year old but also teaching him out to speak Spanish, and Korean - the children who graduate from this program test at a higher-level when they get to public school. This Daycare/preschool is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a safe and loving environment for their child.

Not going to lie, I was nervous at first to bring my son here based off past reviews. But I needed to find a daycare for him ASAP last year because of a miscommunication with the county. So I took a chance with Tiny Toes, and to this day, I tell my husband we got so unbelievably lucky to have found this place. My son begs every day to go to "school". Every day I'm greeted by just polite, and happy employees. Every one there is so friendly and kind. I've always been made aware of any issue that may have occurred. I could go on and on, but I'll just end on this note.. While in the past the reviews/stars may not have been the best, they have clearly changed! I have nothing to complain about with Tiny Toes, and would recommend them to anyone looking for care!

I thought I liked this daycare. Until I had to put in my two weeks due to the daycare hours not working with my work schedule.. I was charged after the payments were due to stop. I disputed the payment with my bank. Then the following week I was charged AGAIN for more than the weekly rate. I can't understand why my account continued to be charged without my permission not once but twice!

Both of my children attend this daycare. My daughter since she was 1 (she’ll be 4 in 30 days) & my son since he was 6 weeks old (he’ll be 2 in Oct) I love the staff & the director/owner! We’re family at this point. I trust them with my tiny humans & dread the day they start actual school. The love & patience that has been shown is unmatched & exactly what I was looking for in a childcare center! Thank you guys for taking care of my babies! I love yall ?

My youngest has been going here since he was a baby. The teachers are always smiling and ready to engage with your child. During pickup they take time to engage the parent and advise them how the day went and tell you funny stories that were told throughout the day- they also have an app that they utilize where they upload photos for the parent and also let you know the activities for the day. Before we leave every evening my child insists on going to every teacher to give them a hug and say his goodbyes. Thank you to the wonderful staff for being so great to my little man <3

Management (Ms Sawyer) and the Twos Teacher is always very professional, helpful and pleasant. They have my grandson best interest when it come to nutrition. They realize he's a picky eater so they stay on top of his healthy snack inventory from home and inform Mom in a timely manner when he's getting low. I appreciate all the love and patience they show towards my grandson.

This daycare is a hidden gem. It is privately owned and not a franchise. It is smaller than many corporate run daycares. Staff turnover is low and that is good for children, who need consistency. There is a childrens urgent care center right next door, and many fast food restaurants nearby if you are on a time crunch and need to pick up happy meals for the evening. It is small but diverse and has a community feel to it. Would recommend!
