From reading some other reviews your mileage may vary depending on who is working. It seems like some people are rude at the front desk, but this was not my personal experience. I went to get my passport last week and everyone was kind and helpful throughout the process.
Specific shoutout to Ivana. She is crazy fast with checking your passport application and super helpful if you have any questions.

I went to this post office frequently. I've never had negative experiences at the post office. I called there when I had an issue with my package. The operator immediately found out my package and told me that it would be delivered next day. I was very impressed how quickly my call was answered and resolved issues within few minutes!

Exceptional Service from Ivana at Post Office Location 15 Litchfield Fredericksburg 22406
Today, I had the distinct pleasure of receiving truly outstanding service from Ivana during my passport renewal process.
Initially, I was directed by the State Department to a different post office in Fredericksburg, where I had a less than satisfactory experience. Despite having an appointment, the interaction was unhelpful and left me feeling frustrated and misinformed.
Fortunately, I contacted the State Department again, who then directed me to the post office just a block from my home. It was there that I encountered Ivana, and her assistance was nothing short of remarkable. Even though it was nearing the end of her shift (almost 3:00 PM), she willingly and graciously offered to help me, ensuring my application was correctly processed. Her proactive offer of assistance, when I was prepared to return another day, demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to public service.
Ivana exemplified a true public service mindset. I observed her interact with not only myself but also other customers, patiently offering detailed explanations and dedicating the necessary time to each individual. Her willingness to go above and beyond, coupled with her professionalism and clear communication, made a significant difference. Without her dedicated support today, I am confident I would have faced further delays or rejection of my application.
Her exceptional dedication and genuine desire to help others are truly commendable. I firmly believe that individuals like Ivana, who consistently demonstrate such a high level of service and care, are natural leaders whose approach should be emulated by others.
My sincere gratitude goes to Ivana and the entire team at this post office for their professionalism and support. I feel incredibly fortunate to have met her today.

I was greeted upon entrance.
2 nicest ladies ever were so open and willing to help all incoming customers.
I was super impressed. Both of them worked very collaboratively.
I'm so happy I came here to do my mailing work because they are so nice and give me a moment to type my email for receipt and I wasn't super rushed like in some other post office. They were so patient great attitude answered my questions showed care towards my concerns.

They mark your package as being available for pickup then tell you 3- 1/2 hours later after waiting in line that you can't pick it up and have to wait longer for it until they get to it. What a joke!

Ivana helped us with getting out daughters passport application. She was so efficient and friendly. She was so nice with our baby when taking her picture even when trying to be quick. We really appreciate the staff there and so glad to have such a good experience.

Ivana helped me with my passport application and was an abaolutely charming individual. I will absolutely be back to this location for anything I need done because the staff were so pleasant, but especially her. Thank you!

Terrible customer service. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. Instead of sending my package to my local USPS in king George, they sent my package to the complete wrong location in an entirely different state. Package was shipped with priority mail, and I’ll be lucky if it gets here one week later.

Asked the mail lady a simple question and she decided she wanted be be rude an have an attitude, I’m retrieving mail for a friend who can’t do it herself and as I was pulling up her information to get her mail the mail lady decided it was more effective to telling how shes not going to do this that and the other, all with an unnecessary attitude, instead of just saying “I’m sorry unfortunately I won’t be able to help you.” So rude even the person I was on the phone with asked why she was so rude. Looking at these other reviews y'all really do know how to pick ‘em.

Horrific experience today. Dealing with the loss of my brother, and as his Administrator, I needed to get a change of address inacted to receive his mail. The postal letter I had did not identify all the required documents to present to the post office, and the clerk was fairly rude and unsympathetic about it. It was not her fault nor did I blame her but she was very cold.
I returned with the required documents. This time, I was greeted by a very surly and even harsher clerk. In addition I was submitting a form to notify Carriers that mail would be arriving at my address in his name. She asked me if anyone else at the address would be receiving mail and I said he was the only one I was adding. She asked me the same question over and over again, each time more hostile. It never would have occurred to me to add my own name to the form as I am already established at my own address. But apparently that is what she meant. Seeing I didn't understand the question all she had to do was rephrase the question kindly, and remind me to add my own name to the card. But instead she had to hostily repeat the same question over and over, more and more aggressive each time. I just lost my last family member and a little courtesy and kindness could have gone a long way. Do NOT work in customer service if this is how you treat people.
