Incompetent and unprofessional. My wife and I made an appointment to have our taxes done with Patrica and we were told we had to reschedule because she was unsure how to do our taxes. When we came back for our rescheduled appointment she had us sitting in the waiting area past our appointment time just to tell us we need to reschedule again because she lost out W2’s and Mortage documents.

First year filing with HR block. Ramon knew what he was doing! He was kind, patient and very knowledgeable. He answered all questions and made sure our taxes were good. 10/10 going back next year and asking for him!

Truly the most heinous tax experience of my life. We worked with Patricia Hayden - we’re military, so we pay taxes in our home of record, but submit returns in the states we live in as well. Our Virginia return was amended by the state and resulted in us owing a ton of money. We called Patricia and asked her to help us navigate it - we submitted an adjusted return and were told their “system messed it up” and that it had happened to a bunch of other people. They then tried to charge us for the amended return, even though it was their error. We fought that, and luckily they agreed to waive the fee. After 4 more back-and-forths with the Virginia taxation department (with no help from H&R), we finally got the situation rectified. Then, we just get a notice that our Arizona taxes were also filed incorrectly and we owe money there, too.
I would never trust them with my taxes again. I fear I’ll wake up as an 87 year old woman, receiving letters stating I still owe 2023 taxes. Save yourself the trouble and use a different company.

My 2022 tax was complicated by RMDs, a mid-year move, interest and div from accounts and other stuff. HR at Fort Belvoir sorted it all out taking care of both Federal and state taxes. Worth every penny.

Unprofessional, unreliable, understaffed at height of tax season. I've went here the past 2 -3 years (when it was in the BX). Cindy Brown was awesome! She has sadly moved on. This place is now unreliable and unprofessional. First, my scheduled tax person didn't come into work the morning of my appointment so I had to reschedule. Not unusual. BUT, then when they rescheduled me, they double booked me. So, when I went in for my rescheduled appointment at 1 PM on a Thursday afternoon in February, neither of the only 2 tax people could help me. One person was helping others. The other spent 15 min with a person and was done, but still not able to help me apparently. I waited 20 minutes and left! I could here them doing the other peoples' taxes I my wait was no where near its end. They didn't even bother to try and reschedule me. They thought it acceptable for me to just wait for some unknown amount of time. Honestly, I didn't want the guy who only spent 15 min with his customer. That guy could have just went on line and saved himself money. 15 min for $300! No thanks. I will NOT be going back. Unacceptable.

The tax professional was knowledgeable and had everything done quickly and efficiently. The automated process helps the user stay in contact and review documents while the tax professional is working through everything.

Stephanie is very professional however, I still believe the prices for tax services are too steep.

ZERO STARS KATHLEEN!After arriving 10 minutes prior to our appointment time and being checked in by Cindy, nice enough lady (not wearing a mask). We waited another 20 minutes. So 10 minutes after our appointment Kathleen comes out hair unkempt, wearing a galaxy print smock with a bubble jacket. Not a professional appearance at all. Kind of looks homless, from Alaska, or maybe both. Kathleen says,"Cindy is going through chemo and we need to wear a mask". Ok, would have been nice to know before arrival maybe when we made the appointment. Idea! If you're the only place in the state of Virginia that requires a mask(not legal) maybe offer one to the patrons or put a sign on the door. Just don't wait until you are already 10 minutes late Kathleen. To to expect someone who has been sitting maskless for 20 minutes to whip one out of thin air to make you feel better.
