I scheduled the geek squad to install a TV mount and they sent me Caleb G and Geovany. They said the TV mount I bought was not going to work. Thank goodness they carry extra TV mounts with them just in case and backup situations. The TV mount turned out to be better and cost less. They did a great job.

Called on the phone to ask a question. The main GS operator was helpful and put in a message for the local branch to call me back.
They never called, and I went elsewhere to get my assistance.

Geek Squad subcontracted an unlicensed, one star, company operated out of a house for my warranty service. They never showed, never called, and won't answer my calls. When I tried to get another company or appointment they told me two weeks from now is the earliest they can do... TOTALLY unprofessional, not to mention the washing machine is less than a year old and doesn't work. It's an Insignia, which is the best buy brand in case anyone was wondering... I would not recommend Geek Squad, Best Buy, OR Insignia.

do not use at all, they took my money, been on with them since 10 pm just hung up now, they kept putting me on hold, hanging up, very rude, they took my money and told me they can not help me out, they will not refund me my money, they are awful they should be out of business , i will not go back there ever again , trust me never use them, a dime a dozen, they were not helpful to me at all, it was a real fly by night clip joint, do ya self a favor go else where never ever to best buy geek sq , they keep cutting you off they are rude over the phone, im sorry i ever dealt with them at all

AWESOME job this morning very busy I came in without an appointment (didn't know that I needed one) had a small issue with my Galaxy 9 they were able to fix it in minutes very pleasant, very friendly all while assisting other customers ...

Find someone else for IS technical support. Too many broken promises, no updates. Promised job completion in 24-48 hours, after multiple inquires the technician tried to bluff by saying they have 24-48 work hours, meaning they can work on my equipment one hour a week for the next 48 weeks and keep their promise.

One star because you do not have an option for ZERO! Do yourself a favor and have your computer serviced by a preschooler, or better yet, save yourself the time, trouble, personal heartache and expense, before you go to Best Buy and the Geek squad. Simply throw your treasured belonging in the fire or lake, for the result in my mothers case felt the same.
My mother and I took her computer that was under a protected plan and warrantee, into the Gainesville, Virginia location, and asked them to repair it to 100% of normal working conditions, with ALL information, software, folders and files intact. If that was not possible, then take NO action without asking permission. After several days, she got a call stating her computer was ready for pickup.
We got to Best Buy, happy and delighted to retrieve her computer and was than informed that it had been returned to FACTORY SETTINGS, as requested according to them.
In other words, wiped clean! No files, folders, software, all of her memories and pictures gone. I ask you, who does that, or agrees to that! No call was received from them by her to take this action.
Upon asking for the Geek Squad manager, Gregory Pharis to put the software and information back onto the computer at the expense of Best buy and the Greek squad, he looked me straight in the eye and said "NO, NO, NO!, but we are here to help"
200+ hours later, after calling the Best Buy and Geek Squad 800 numbers, I got the same answer I received by everyone that I talked with was, and even with all the many that hung up on me was that "Corporate Headquarters does not get involved with the internal affairs of its stores. If you have a problem or issue, take it up with the store in question.' In other words, the parents have told the children, do as you please, and don't forget to pay the rent.
There was only one individual named Adrian after reviewing the case and knowing BB & GS policies, that said to me, "small claims court and hire an attorney, that is your only recourse, corporate will not help anyone."
Other criminal activities include, altering signed document to cover their actions.
The Gainesville, Virginia Best Buy, Manager Daniel , no last name offered, conspired with Greg of Geek Squad to cover up the Geek Squads actions.

Do not use geek squad!!!! They lie about what they cover and their "if we can't fix it we will replace it" is FALSE!! Do not waste you time or your money! They have had our brand new computer for 11 days and the order just keeps saying parts ordered!!!
