I've been going to this doctor for 10+ years, in the past few years the support staff have become terrible, do not care for patients, and are enough of a reason to avoid at all costs. My entire family one by one has stopped going to this clinic because of the support staff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I dont really have any complaints about the Dr's or staff, everyone has always been really nice when I have been there. My issue stems from their complete lack of care for any problem that is an immediate need. If I have a sinus infection today, I dont want an appointment in a week or two. I have never had a Doctor office not reserve spots for same day/immediate need. Their advice was to go to urgent care if it was so bad. OK, so maybe I do have a staff complaint... but what is the point of them if I can never get in when I need. I am done, finding a new doctor now.

Great doctors, horrible admin staff. Incompetent, unprofessional and completely disinterested in doing their jobs. I've been with this office for 10 years and I'm thinking about moving on because of the disappointing admin staff. You would think people smart enough to get a medical degree would understand the need for a qualified office staff...guess not.

I would give Bristow Run Family Practice 0 start if i had the option. - Issue i had: "I changed my office and the chair in the office doesn't have a full back/neck support. HR asked me to get a prevention letter from a doctor that chair with back/neck support can prevent neck sprain as i work in IT and have to work on laptop 8 hrs a day" I called Friday afternoon and they said doctors are very busy today and will try to give me call on Monday, "NOBODY CALLED", I called Tuesday and they said it is fraud to write letter if i have neck issue and they write me a letter, I explained multiple time i DO NOT HAVE NECK ISSUE- it is just to prevent neck sprain in the future.... STILL, they want to take my money and then write me a letter after seeing me when I have no ISSUE. I am going to complain to Novant health first to fix this money making business and also write a letter to "Better Business Bureau" (BBB) and "Federal Trade Commission" these businesses are just to make money and not to help people when they need them the most. I am going to end up buying my own chair for my need but learned a lesson not to give business to those who will bail on you when you need very minor help from them. Oh, one more thing their staff is not well trained to handle customers and even make proper notes in the system.

Bristow Run Family Practice, (BRFP), has cared for my family for over 14 years. Dr Hammonds diagnosed my daughter with a serious spinal condition during a routine physical. She referred us to a specialist that ordered immediate surgery that greatly improved my daughters quality of life. Dr Hammonds has cared for my family with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, skill. She is a part of our lives and we trust her. Unfortunately, my visit with her on 9/28/2018 was my last. The support staff at BRFP has had minor problems since I first became a patient. The problems were minor and the office manager quickly resolved them. She cared enough to ensure that the same missteps didn't occur twice. Since BRFP became a part of Novant Health the new staff is ambivalent, rude, and incompetent. The office manager, Diana, is either incapable of solving even smallest problem or just doesn't care. Every interaction with the staff is a struggle. I have avoided going to see Dr Hammonds because making a simple appointment subjects me to the staff's ambivalence. Bottom line: Doctors great, Staff blows...chunks. I'm so disgusted I'm changing doctors. Good luck

Love Doctor Tang and Doctor Hammonds however the ability to get through to the reception personnel is impossible. When you call it goes straight to voicemail and then the mailbox doesn't allow you to leave a message. Very frustrating!

First timer here due to switch insurance. Taking son to get vaccination with perfect health condition. Waited 40min after nurse taking height and weight. My son had first vaccine dose from Kaiser which was newer version, Dr had to google it to tell us the difference between old and new version. I can't require Dr knows everything I guess. The staff are ok not as friendly or they just had a long day (our appointment was 3:30pm). I had to agree with previous review, this isn't the best health care facility in the area. You would have plenty to choose.

I went here at waited 2 hrs to be seen in the room. I asked the nurse and apparently he was seeing other patients that came after me. I made another appointment and again the nurse made it sound like she's on her way but I waited over an hour. I spoke up and said I'm leaving you give poor service here. Lost my $15 copayment

Dr. Tang is great. The staff sucks. Particularly Tyra. Terrible attitude. Several times when I call I get transferred to voicemail instantly. Today I was in the office and heard her directing people to transfer calls to voicemail. She doesn't like her job obviously and isn't a people person at all. This office would be better served without her and her big attitude.

I have been seeing Dr.s' at this practice for over five years. Usually I'm a patient person when it comes to the service industry. For one i was a service provider for years so i know what kind of pressure one deals with. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but somethings are just not acceptable behavior. The doctors themselves are very good and professional, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. As of today i will no longer be visiting that office and I am in search for a new doctor for myself my daughter and my husband(three patients lost). I was in the office two weeks ago, had blood drawn and never received a call with results. i called in and I was informed that a was anemic, imagine that. What if i had passed out while driving my six year old back and forth to school and after school activities. Two weeks, that is so very unacceptable. This was the third and finally straw with them. I strongly recommend that everyone stay clear of this practice.

My husband and I have seen several doctors within this practice (on 3 different occasions) and I'm unsure the knowledge is there. All 3 times we were misdiagnosed and decided to receive a 2nd opinion in regards to our care. Needless to say, we will not be back here. My first instance I was diagnosed with having Bronchitis when in fact I had Pneumonia which required a hospital stay (I decided to take myself to the ER and thank god I listened to my intuition). My 2nd instance I was told I had a viral infection when in fact I had a sinus infection which required antibiotics (I decided to see a different doctor at another practice). My husband recently went because he was having ear pain and discomfort and was told he needed to take Mucinex, the pain was much worse the next day and he decided to see another dr at a different practice and was told he had a double ear infection which required antibiotics and his eardrums were on the verge of popping. I very much care for the health of my family and I and will be searching for another family doctor in the area who is more knowledgeable, unfortunately I already paid them $45 (in co-pays) for misdiagnosing me. Be cautious of this practice!!!!!!

I just moved to the area and picked this office from the internet. I cannot be more pleased with my visit and with Dr. Hammond. The front desk staff was very polite, and the nurse/assistant had great bedside manner and was very friendly. I loved Dr. Hammond. She was kind, thorough, and I did not feel rushed at all. She answered all my questions. I had blood work done and they called the next day with my results. I love that they have an on sight lab and I don't have to drive somewhere else to get blood drawn. Positive experience all around.

Previously, I would have given this office a 5. I loved it. They have now switched over to Novant Health and I was there a few weeks ago for an appointment and recently for followup work. I waited over an hour for my original appointment (previously they were quick in getting you in on time). This time, I tried to explain to them that I wanted a different version of the test which they tried to tell me does not exist-- I have a previous version of it in my hand, so yes... it does exist. All the staff except the lab tech was rude to me and told me "this is what you get" in response to my request for a different version of the test. CVS then requested they refill a prescription (which they ignored), then when I asked about it at my appt, they said they'd put a "high priority" request in to the dr, it's now 24 hours later and no call. So I call them back and I tell them that I was waiting for their call back for approval of the prescription and they say did you leave a voice mail on the refill line? NO. You said you were going to call me back and that it was HIGH priority with the doctor. She sends me to the refill line. What a joke this office has become. It makes me sad because they used to be so great. I am now looking for a new doctor.

I've been visiting here for several years and for the most part I am very satisfied. The location is tricky because you actually enter on the backside of the building. The offices are clean and very tidy. I've never felt that it's unsanitary or bad for my health. This is important because I have visited doctor's offices that are not so clean feeling. I visit with Dr Tang and he is very professional. He can be in high demand and on several visits I have had to wait a very long time. To be fair I don't think this is totally his fault as some patients love to drone on and on. The admin staff is usually friendly and I have nothing bad to say about them. My interactions with them are limited so all I can say is that they do a good job getting me in and out. Their recent conversion to the Novant health system seems to have improved the overall system and I look forward to the advancements they have planned for the future. I use the Novant iOS app and it makes dealing with the doctor that much better.

Not the best place around to go. The new doctor there was a hot mess and I won't go back to see her ever.
