I shop here quite often as a parent for my family and for Instacart as a side job. Never have I ever experienced the lack of care and empathy as I did with my visit this morning. Lilia or Lilla the manager on duty at 9 AM. This morning I was shopping for Instacart. I had entered the store with one order, but while I was shopping the current order, I got a request for two additional orders. I was able to accommodate so I excepted the additional two orders. As I was unloading my first order, it dawned on me that one of the items must’ve fallen underneath, so I unloaded a few items to the ground, 12 pack sodas, family pack apple sauce that is in a box with heavy plastic over it. I was then approached by the on duty manager, Lilia (or lilla ) while looking for the missing customers item which happened to be a birthday candle. She says to me “ you are not allowed to put customers food on the floor,” situation that I was just looking for an item but not to worry, I’ll keep going. She then says “ you need to make sure your car is organized before you come into the lane” senate, dumbfounded me because she came so aggressive and she was just standing behind me. She wasn’t moving away. And I said, can you please help me then ( get the 12 pack sodas, and the applesauce off the ground ) and she said no. She would not help me she’ll stand there and be super aggressive and embarrass me to the point of tears. How this woman became a manager is beside me, that is not how you treat customers it’s appalling.

The premier go to grocery store. Such a huge selection of everything. Great deli, cheese stand, butcher, seafood market, bakery, hot food, fresh prepared meals along with many other specialty bars. This place even has a bar that you can pull up a chair to and enjoy a beer or glass of wine while shopping. Prices are a little more expensive than you'll find at some other large chain grocery stores, but the selection options usually make the trip worth while.

A bunch of racists and extremely rude employees! Very unfriendly establishment. They should indicate whites only so we don't waste our money in their store!

I am very disappointed that the Gainesville, VA Wegman's is not complying with the Governor's mandate that retail establishments require that customers wear masks. I can only conclude that they are unwilling to do what is needed to protect everyone's health. I will now shop only at Costco and Trader Joe's until Wegman's requires masks.

I have been going to this Wegmans for a few years now. I have always thought it was a great grocery store with few issues. Prices are a bit high, but the quality matches. However, in the past few days, I have become disgusted at the way they are handling the Covid-19 situation. So many folks are going in and it's a giant cluster of people, dangerously close to one another. I have seen people pushing past and also moving dangerously close to one another. It's understandable that "6 feet" will not always happen, but surely it can be more than 5 inches. Please take measures to prevent the spread of Corona. Take notes from places like Costco where they limit the amount of people going on and out. It's not unreasonable to wait an extra 5-10 minutes to get inside and get groceries

I have been coming here for years now. Always enjoyed great customer service. During the time like these, COVID-19, it's very important to maintain humility and kindness. I received a horrible customer service for the first time in this location that I had to go and use self checkout. You may instruct people to do things certain way however you need to remain nice about it and check the tone because at the end of the day you are in customer service and I'm paying money to shop at your store!!!

Nice selection. Always nice to shop at this Wegmans location. The food selection is better than the Sterling location.
