The drive through @ the Somerset Crossing branch is terribly slow, and has been ever since the lobby was closed because of the CCP virus. Now, I have first hand experience with one reason it is so slow. WF desperately needs to staff the drive through with tellers or cashiers or whatever they are called with people who can COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY in the English language. Very frustrating and burdensome trying understand them and making my intentions clear. There is no reason for this. Good customer service has been gutted in the name of diversity, and to have to spend 10 to 12 minutes on a transaction that should only take three or four minutes is ridiculous. And that doesn't include the ten minutes sitting in line because the customers ahead of me are experiencing the same damned problems with the language issue. One reason my credit card disappeared at this same branch last year was partly because of a language incompatibility. The bulk of the customers here speak good to perfect English, so the bulk of the employees ought to, as well.

Rude service, asked about opening a checking account. Representative said even if your check is not from this branch we can cash it for you. They straight up lied to my face in order for me to open an account with them. You know the more people the get to open an account or do business with them, they get a percentage to themselves (payment) for getting more people to open with them. Why do you think back in 2008-2010 they had the scandal of opening accounts under clients information without their knowledge to get their monthly required client need. Gave me excuses saying it's my address it's the amount in my account, etc. Anything to not cash my check, cause it's from "a different branch" after going over every policy they have they lied. Also called and they were really rude after I confronted and they kept hanging up on me.

Banker I spoke to did not understand how to complete my transaction, was not interested in looking at the paperwork I brought, was dismissive, and rushed me out the door. First negative experience with Wells Fargo since I started banking with them (way back when they were First Union). Two stars because the other people in the greeting/waiting area were nice.

Recently had to do a long distance real estate closing. A Wells Fargo notary was provided free to notarize our documents and the cashiers check was likewise free. The staff was friendly and polite. Overall a great experience.

I don't trust the competency of this branch - I turned in a check re-order form and they apparently lost it because the checks I received started with check #101 and were the wrong style and the wrong format - when I returned the checks, I showed the branch manager what happened and was assured they would correct everything. Upon receiving the "corrected" order, the number was correct but it was still the wrong format. Tired of dealing with the branch, I called the 800 number and the banker said he would take care of it but it was STILL the wrong format - if they screw this up, how are they going to handle my money properly?

I've never visited a bank as bad as this one. Deplorable. I've never been treated as horribly as I was at this bank trying to cash a check.

Staff seem super nice whenever I visit here. Attentive and professional. But it seems to me that it's somewhat difficult to open a personal credit card at wells fargo. If you hold a non-us resident social number, you would be denied. I needed to show my green card anyhow later. However, staff try to figure out with enthusiasm so overall, I like the way they treat each customer.

This review is for the use of the Drive Thru ATM at Wells Fargo. I don't bank at Wells Fargo, but I needed some cash for a trip to a local restaurant. The ATM that I normally visit is at the Sheetz in Haymarket, VA - was a few miles away (the ATM at Sheetz is also not part of where I bank). Anyhow, Wells Fargo charges a $3.00 transaction fee for using their ATM. The ATM at Sheetz in Haymarket charges a $0.00 fee for using it. Never using a Wells Fargo ATM ever again!
