The Galax Virginia Enterprise location was two hours late in getting my rental. An hour prior to the pickup time I was called and informed they may not have a vehicle for me. I called numerous times and was finally able to get in touch with a representative. The representative only took a few photos without a filter so some existing damage as not noted. I cannot recommend this location.

I hate to rate this location low, because I know it is not default of the local employees, but the way Enterprise is running this location is abysmal. I rent one class a vehicle and I’m given a lower class time and time again. I understand that Christiansburg makes these decisions and the local enterprises get what they get. I am downgraded and in the same breath told I will not be charged for a different rental class (why would I be charged for a downgrade?). The vehicles are subpar, mechanical issues that should’ve been noted as the vehicle made its way from Christiansburg to the local center, and yet are rented out, anyhow.
The employees at this location are very kind, courteous, and professional, however, their hands are tied by the larger location in Christiansburg. I am told when I get my downgraded vehicle, that I can go to Christiansburg and get a vehicle within my class. Is there a solution really that I should go out of my way to get a vehicle from the very location that sent me this downgraded vehicle? If they had a vehicle in my reserved class, without mechanical issues, why not send that vehicle to the local Enterprise to begin with? If I’m going to go out of my way, I will not be renting Enterprise. This is not how you do business

My insurance company made the initial reservation and Enterprise promptly called to set up an appointment to pick up my rental. I had 3 cars from which to choose. The paperwork only took a couple of minutes. I was in and out quickly. The car was clean and has been reliable. I had to extend my reservation and it just took a short phone call. It has been a pleasant experience, so far.

I’m surprised at all the one star reviews here! Maybe we have just been lucky, but we’ve rented vehicles 4 times from this location and never had an issue. Twice they even offered the car a day early at no extra charge. Employees are nice as well as the vehicles. Very convenient location as well.

It's almost impossible to call in to the place and they are always understaffed. Still, they only rental place around. They also will hook you up with free upgrades, so good overall.

I recently had a frustrating experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I had reserved a large SUV, expecting a vehicle that would offer the same comfort and space I’m used to. However, when I picked up the car, I was given a small SUV instead. As a six-foot-tall person, this was a major problem. Even with the seat all the way back, my knees were practically in the steering wheel, making it incredibly uncomfortable to drive.
I called Enterprise to explain the situation and see if they could swap the vehicle for something more suitable, but they told me there was nothing available on the lot to accommodate me. What was even more disappointing was how uninterested they seemed in resolving the issue or acknowledging that they didn’t meet my original reservation needs. There was no effort to make it right, and I was left stuck with a car that was simply unfit for me.
For a company with such a big reputation, their customer service in this case was underwhelming at best. I won’t be renting from this Enterprise location again.

Oh god.. I am happy I did read the comments on here! I was going to rent from. Them tomorrow..the phone call i had with them showered me with red flags..then the reviews made it all make sense. Another scam business in America like insurance, banks, hospitals, health insurance,..God how shitty and outdated county

Adam @ the office was very helpful. He arranged pick up & drop offs without any hesitation.
Overall the Galax, VA rental experience was great!
