What a great experience with Calico! Recently chose fabric and requested a full quote for drapery and installation. Linda was patient and committed in helping me choose the perfect fabric for my home, even though it took two tries and a lot of extra work on her part. When I communicated that I has decided to go elsewhere because of the production timeline the manager called to express her concern and readiness to earn our business. They ended up offering a significant savings and shortening production for us which was so unexpected ... and impressive! Ultimately, I suspect the Manager's motivation was out of respect for her salesperson and the time she had devoted. The fact that she cared so much shines a light on the workplace culture. I am confident this care and attention will convey in our end product! Way to go Calico! Just when I thought great service was a lost art form. Nailed it!

I had a great experience at Calico picking out fabrics and having throw pillows made! I worked with Kelly and we had such a blast! She was so incredibly helpful with all of the details, from helping to choose coordinating fabrics and pillow sizes, to making sure the assembled pillows were perfect when they came in. It was clear to me that all of the staff at Calico love what they do and helping clients design pieces they will love. I can't wait to come back and find new ways to use more of their beautiful fabrics! Thank you Kelly, Tonya and Calico!!

Dis-honest, over inflated prices and non-professional.

Their store says they are open until 5 pm but when I arrived, the doors were locked. The clerk came to the door and said it was by appointment only. After driving over 30 minutes to shop for fabric, she wanted me to drive back home, make an appointment, and then drive back again?! I’m not sure what their reasoning is considering Walmart, Lowe’s and most other stores are open for business. Therefore, I’ll take my business elsewhere too. Thank you.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE! I like many other customers would never step in this store again! I placed an order with Calico sales associate Kelly Brokenbrough who was responsible for placing my order for custom window treatments. I paid Calico over a couple of thousands of dollars for the professional measuring team to measure my windows . When I received my window treatments after 10 weeks of waiting the window treatments were made for the wrong length. I brought this to Kelly attention and she admitted that she had made a mistake when she ordered the window treatments. I called and spoke to the manager Tonya Jordan-Pharrell and she said Kelly told her and the Calico management team that I wanted the window treatments for that length. What Kelly did not know was I had recorded the conversation and am so thankful that I did. The horrible ordeal resulted in court ligations because of Kelly and the store manager Tonya Pharrell-Jordan lies. Calico ended up paying more for attorneys fees than what the window treatments cost all because of the lies of their sales associate. Thank God I was protected by saving a video recording of our conversation. Please do yourself a favor and go to a store like UFAb who will not take advantage of customers to get a sale. In this case what Calicio got was an attorney bill bigger than the cost of my window treatments. Plus Calico lost a customer of 20 years due to their money hungry , dishonest sales associate!

I used the Calico in Arlington, Virginia. Ive been going there for years, bought some material to self upholster a few small items...they have such beautiful fabric. Years later, this past fall, I went in for a new sofa. I worked with Ann who was super knowledgeable and shared her wisdom and design magic. I bought some material for an ottoman as well (Ann's suggestion on the design and color) loved it !! However, the sofa I picked had some issues when it arrived. They worked with me and returned it for a different sofa size, different material. I got the new sofa but it wasnt filled enough in the seats. Ann was amazing, she suggested to order extra fill cushions and they arrived pre covid....I've been waiting these last few months to find the time once they re- opened and so glad I did ! They are just what the sofa needed. Great suggestion Ann ! Ann and Jane worked hard to make my experience at calico a smooth and pleasant one and I give them top ratings A+! Ann has been in design for over 25 years she us the one who listens and works with you...she is not shy to tell you if your moving in the wrong direction with color or style. She stated in my budget and focused on the final outcome. Great experience! Thanks !!

I went into Calico Corners looking for 2 roller shades to use behind bedroom window valances. Later, the Hunter-Douglas subcontractor was sent to my home to examine and measure our windows for Calico Corners. Once the shades arrived, they could not be properly installed, so the subcontractor disassembled the shades and devised a hanging method not in accordance with the Hunter Douglas instructions. He left half the parts provided by the manufacturer on our kitchen counter, charged us $85.00 for his efforts and left. Calico Corners charged us $539.50 for shades that are totally inappropriate. I suspect the salesperson was not familiar enough with the product she recommended to realize the problem. I have repeatedly called Tonya Jordan-Pharr, the Calico store manager, but she has not returned my messages. By taking time to post this experience, I hope others can avoid Calico Corners and save themselves a lot of wasted time and money.

I was initially very pleased with the service I received from Calico Corners however my positive experience quickly deteriorated once I received my drapes. After the drapes were installed in my living room I noticed dark marks at the top of the drapery. The marks appear similar to markings that would be made to determine where the fabric should be cut. As soon as I noticed these marks I contacted the store manager (Tonya Jordan-Pharr) to see what could be done. I was absolutely shocked when she told me that Calico Corners would only pay for half of the cost to dry clean the curtains. Really?! I paid Calico hundreds of dollars for these custom drapes and now they won't even pay for defects that THEY caused?! This is outrageous. Calico Corners should be responsible for 100% of the cost to clean these drapes. It is absolutely absurd to suggest that I should be responsible for ANY cleaning costs. I have tried calling Tonya back to further discuss this and she has ignored my calls.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced!

Excellent Service! The store is well maintained and has a cozy and friendly atmosphere. My mother had tasked me with finding a fabric I would like to use for a duvet cover. I was so unprepared! I was really thinking I was just going to walk around a fancier Michael's or JoAnn's. Nope, not at all. I was greeted politely by Lynn Holly who was one of two very nice ladies working at the store that day. Lynn first asked if she could assist me with finding a fabric today. I let her know the background of why I was there. She allowed me to meander without being overbearing or a pushy "sales" type. But the way she went about helping me was perfect. And I must say I gave her very little to go off of. I hadn't even thought about bringing pictures, current swatches of fabric, nadda. I really just thought I was going to be walking around with no real assistance. Lynn was super patient (and thankfully didn't take it as me being rude) as I frantically searched for pictures on my phone to give her something to go off of, to no avail. After a bit I let her know what type of style's I generally go for and that my mom had suggested Nate Berkus's fabrics. Lynn politely probed a bit to find out how the fabric was intended to be used, colors, designs etc but all in a format that I could understand and respond to, i.e. I didn't feel like an idiot because I don't know fabrics and or what things are called, what colors go together etc. Within the first 3 fabrics Lynn pulled out a few fabrics and within the first 3 (literally with a crappy picture of the newly decorated living room from my old apartment) found a fabric that I really liked. I probably would have over looked it to be honest. Lynn stuck with me past that though and pulled out some fabrics (once I told her accent colors) that might work well as backing to the duvet when folded down (as bed is made) and or as a border and other options. All of which were in line with what I had described I liked (to the best of my ability). Writing the options down as we went, she notified me of the current sales and end dates, and which fabrics those applied to. I was sure to thank Lynn there in person, but wanted to write a review as well. I don't often do it, but I really left the store feeling like I was treated (which I was) with first class service, and I would like to thank Lynn for that.
