We love COA. Our baby goes to Infant B with Nazdana and Sahar, and he's super happy there. It was his first time in daycare (we enrolled him when he was 1 year old). At first, drop-off was hard, but after a couple of days, he was fine for the rest of the day. Now, he's super happy at drop-off (he extends his arms toward the teachers) and at pick-up, he seems to be enjoying it so much that he doesn't want to leave!
Nazdana and Sahar have done an outstanding job with our baby. He learned to walk, picked up some sign language, and they have always respected each baby's individual routine. They are warm, attentive, and truly care about the children, which has made a huge difference in our baby's development and comfort.
We're also very happy with COA overall: the classrooms are big and spacious, the food is better than at most other daycares, and the app is very useful for daily updates. The center has cameras (not HD, which we actually appreciate for privacy reasons—plus, some key areas are intentionally not covered) which gave us peace of mind after drop-off. You can’t enter the classrooms without shoe covers, which is very important to us for hygiene. Everyone is super friendly, and there's plenty of safe parking—you don’t even have to set foot in the parking lot with your baby thanks to the convenient drop-off area. It's clear they’ve put thought into making the experience great for both kids and parents.
Right now, they are undergoing some restructuring, including hiring new staff and transitioning to a new director. Occasionally, they send notifications through the app saying that, due to staffing constraints, they may need to limit attendance on a first-come, first-served basis. This has never affected the Infant A or B classrooms, only a few others. We hope this temporary situation is resolved soon.
We are incredibly grateful for the love and care our baby receives at COA. We truly can’t thank the teachers enough and absolutely recommend this place to other families.

Our experience with COA was disappointing, and we ultimately made the difficult decision to withdraw our daughter after less than three months.
One of the biggest issues was the poor communication. We rarely received updates throughout the day, and when we did, they were often inaccurate. The daily reports did not reflect what actually happened during her day, making it difficult for us to stay informed about her well-being and progress.
The transition to the toddler classroom was another major concern. We were given a transition plan, but the daycare failed to follow it, making the adjustment unnecessarily difficult for our daughter. Inconsistencies in staff attendance meant she was frequently placed in different classrooms, preventing her from building a stable routine and strong relationships with caregivers.
Additionally, we had serious concerns about hygiene and organization. On multiple occasions, we picked her up to find her wearing another child’s diaper, and once, she was drinking from another child’s cup—despite the requirement for parents to provide labeled cups daily. These lapses in attention to basic care and cleanliness were unacceptable.
Her teacher in the toddler room was visibly overwhelmed, which resulted in a tense atmosphere rather than the warm, nurturing environment young children need. The overall lack of consistency, structure, and attentive care led us to conclude that this was not the right place for our daughter.
I would not recommend Children of America to parents seeking a happy, structured, and educational setting for their child. The lack of communication, disorganization, and failure to provide a stable environment were too significant to overlook.

This place is going down since the previous director gone he was keeping this place in control and now new director hired bunch of relatives and friends and always teachers called out and short stuff and at least twice a week we take our kids back home and watch them and still they charge us full fees, our youngest son got hurt many times and no one observed and also we noticed marked on his lower belly looks like burn and brought to their attention and they blew it off and trying to cover it up since then my son doesn’t want to go to that class and cries as we take him to that class so now I am gonna have to hire a lawyer and hopefully they have an answer that how my son got burnt and wish I could give them zero stars but there is no option

SAFETY CONCERN !!!
Incident of Scratches and Bites in this Kindergarten, an incident occurred on June 19th 2024. My 2 years old baby, was scratches all over her face and around her eyes and 5 bites on her cheek by other children in the class. She had mentally affected and couldn’t sleep from last two nights which makes me worried about the severity of the incident and the potential for future harm of other kids in this irresponsible stuff and environment.
As a parent, it is distressing to see my child hurt and feeling upset. No responsible response about the incident and no email or reply from the management of this daycare which is totally unacceptable and not standard.

I can overall say the staff at Glen Allen is good. I can say if you are looking for infant care Ms. Brenda and Theresa are the best with infant care and all kids of all ages. Dominique is the best teacher/assistant , i feel that she should defiantly be the assistant director or close to it at this location, she deserves it !. She knows how everything operates and every question i have, she has the answer. She knows how to communicate with family and every day you walk in she always has a positive attitude no matter what the day has been like. Mr. Josh is very patient and lovable and every day for the kids and has a good attitude. Ms. Jessica is very well with the kids and tries her best every single day, very organized. She also knows how to handle the kids when things become crazy at times. Overall, i am happy with the care my child is receiving at Glen Allen location.

When I picked up My son his teacher Gabby was in the bathroom and the other teacher said she'd be back shortly. My son was laying in the floor in the corner and looked I'll. Gabby returned and said he hadn't eaten much today and wasn't feeling good. She seemed clueless as to what to do about my child not feeling good. She said he was laying on the table so she moved him to the floor where it was more comfortable. No one contacted me. The other teacher took his temperature as I was holding him and it was 102.4. After I asked Gabby why no one contacted me she said she had told the director earlier that my son wasn't feeling good. The other teacher said he was busy and forgot. It is not a good facility. Don't send your child here if you want good care. They probably don't get paid much and don't care about the children.I had read one bad review but there were so many good ones. I just read the bad review again and it is more accurate than I thought. They do cover up things. The director tried to call me today and left a voice mail and denied anything that happened and tried to cover it up. This place is unsafe and weird things are happening to these poor children.
