Problems since Essex bank was purchased.We have a loan that we paided with rental accounts they changed to automatic withdrawal from there checking account with no notice. Now we closed out there checking account, and doNot receive statement or bill, and unable toPay through online banking via there website.

I tried to cash a check and this lady got my 2 forms of ID as usual, made a call, then said I had to wait until he called back, as if I had all the time in the world to wait for a call that god knows when she would get.I tried to explain to her that I aways cash checks and never had that problem, even cashed a check with them, from this same account double the amount and didn’t have to wait for a call. Then, while I tried to understand the situation, she basically yelled “then go to Bank of America (my bank).DEAR, I’m cashing the check in yourbroke bank because I don’t want to wait 5 days for BoA to confirm the founds, the fact that you don’t understand that makes me think how are you even employed?AVOID THIS BRANCH AT ALL COSTS, terrible costumer service, this woman don’t know how to talk to people. Should work in a place where you don’t have to.

Any time I have had a problem, I end up getting the same teller who gets an attitude and literally doesn't help in any way. I went to a different location and the problem ended up being a very simple fix. Really inconvenient that I have to drive to a further location from my house to get anything done.

Simply the best bank ever. I’ve moved out of state and I’m still banking with Essex Bank because I don’t feel comfortable having my money anywhere else. This branch, in particular, exceeds expectations and goes above and beyond for their customers

I am so pleased to be a part of the Bank of Essex Family. I have been banking with them since 2005 and have had nothing but positive help, guidance, and support from this bank. Whatever and whenever they go above and beyond their jobs to accommodate the issue at hand. Bank of Essex in Goochland I think they know each and everyone of their customers personally and treat them with respect and I could not ask for a better institution to do banking with. Thank you guys for being so personable and taking interest in everyone of your customers.

I've been banking with Essex for a few years now and I have been more than satisfied. This branch is the main location I use, and the service and staff here have always left me smiling. They are outgoing, efficient, and very friendly. If you're looking for a bank without the "big bank" rules and obligations, then Essex Bank is the place for you.
