Not helpful over the phone for a “non existing patient” whatsoever. If your pet needs assistance and they aren’t familiar to this place you’re basically sol.

Took our Maltipoo for laser treatments and physical therapy after a hip displacement. The onsite treadmill/water tank at this location is a big plus. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced staff. Special thanks to Kim Darling for her patient, caring attention.

The BEST veterinarian in Richmond. I adopted my dog Zelda from the Henrico pound in 2020. Soon after, I found out she had heartworms, ehrlichia, multiple GI issues including different worms in her poop, as well as anxiety. This was such a shock and I was at a loss. I had no idea what to do or where to go, as I had just lost my 9 year old rabbit a couple months before adopting her.I went to the Locke Taylor on Staples Mill because they were the closest at the time. Best decision I could’ve made. Not only did the vets and vet techs help Zelda, they treated us like close family members. There were times where I could not pay for something that Zelda needed and they treated her anyway, letting me pay how I could. After a year of treatment, they rejoiced with me after her test came back negative for heartworms.Recently, I took her in for her annual and her nails were unacceptably long. I just had surgery and wasn’t able to bring her in like I should have. They said that her dewclaw had grown and was touching her paw pad. As I was crying they still assured me that it was okay, even though I was completely wrong for letting her nails get that long.Over the years Zelda has been to all three locations and every single one is amazing, but the staff at Staples will always have a place in my heart. Dr. Lynch, and Dr. Greenwalt are absolutely wonderful. She’s seen Dr. Jeffers once as well and we also really like her. I don’t think there is a “bad” veterinarian or vet tech at any location. Dr. Taylor was an amazing man and he will be truly missed.Long story short if you are looking for a vet in Richmond, go to any of the Locke Taylor locations. No other place can compete in my opinion!

The staff are so friendly & patient even during the very busy times I’ve been there. They are very good with my mini-schnauzer. Dr. Lynch is great at communicating & I feel the staff is very compassionate. They’re also reasonable in their treatment recommendations & pricing. Very responsive to sick calls as well.

Recently switched vets to this location. Had our yearly check up and vaccinations for our fur baby & I could not be happier with the communication, care and education that we received! Our last vet would not allow us in the room, which is understandable if they had told us the reason (communication) - Our vet tech was very informative, took her time & was very gentle and respectful of Jacks space and temperament. I called my husband immediately after and told him how happy I was we found a vet we liked. <3 Thank you!

Never used a muzzle and had purchased a couple to see which type was best for our dog. Called to see if we could bring him in. They gave us a time and spent time with us to make sure we had the right muzzle and it was a good fit.Something I would have expected years ago, but now, not so much. However, Locke Taylor's Woodman Road and the Glen Allen Animal Hospital still have the old great customer service not seen so much anymore. Common sense and state of the art equipment is why we have been coming here since 1999 and continue to do so.

If you are looking for great care and superior customer service, this is the vet practice for you! The office staff is professional, always helpful and always friendly. Every doctor we have seen has been compassionate and during my visits, is super focused on my pet. My animals are relaxed when they get there, I think because everyone is so calm and welcoming towards them. Prices are comparable to other practices, and I never feel pressured to do more than is needed. I have recommended Glen Allen Animal Hospital to a couple of friends, and they are now customers as well. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a vet for your animals.

I have been with Glen Allen Animal Hospital (and the Woodman Rd. office) since I moved here 2.5 years ago. I have 2 Cockers and they both come here. The staff is awesome as are the Dr's., Dr. Lynch, and they are sincerely caring for my pets and take time to just pet and talk to them a little bit. This is an excellent clinic for when you need veterinary care.

We've had issues with a previous vet being very afraid and unaffectionate with our large breed dog. He gets stressed out at the doctor, but the Glen Allen Animal Hospital techs and doctor were extremely good with our anxious boy. It was a huge relief.

Absolutely loved the Glen Allen office! It’s a drive for us, but well worth it for the care (and the decent prices).

I love this veterinarian! We live about an hour away from the hospital and to spay or neuter a bunny there it is so much cheaper than anywhere around! And I am talking about within a few hours from us in Williamsburg! Not only are their prices great the staff are so cool! But we went to the appointment/checkup to see if he would be a good candidate to be neutered because he is so tiny! He probably weighs about 3lbs! They weren’t that busy so we totally lucked out and they had time to go ahead and neuter him the same day!!! At first I wasn’t sure if I had the extra money to do it since I had not planned to do it that soon. Then I found out that they take CareCredit! I already have an account with them so I didn’t have to go into money we needed right then! So we went to Waffle House, and Walmart to waste some time. When we went back to wait for their call. I called them just to check in and they were finishing up with him already! It had only been a couple of hours! We didn’t know about this place but we wish we had known about them for our other 2 rabbits! Nevertheless, they are our bunnies doctors now! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our little Timmy Tam! ?❤️
