Glen Allen Greenhouse offers a wonderfully unique experience just minutes from Richmond. It features a quaint farm store filled with unique gifts, raw local honey, and all things lavender. The greenhouse carries the largest selection of herb and vegetable plants, along with all necessary gardening supplies like dirt, raised beds, pots, and organic fertilizers. Visitors will find a wide variety of flowers, annuals, perennials, natives, and berry plants, all noted for being very healthy, well-organized, and of a quality that far exceeds typical big box stores. The business, formerly known as Lavender Fields Farm, also provides delicious ice cream and native honey from an on-site bee farm. The staff is consistently described as super friendly, incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable. With an outstanding and amazing variety of plants, many already in bloom, and reasonable prices for generous plant sizes, it is considered a fantastic experience and highly recommended as worth the trip.
This place is very quaint and has a wide selection of plants to choose from. Don’t worry if gardening is not your specialty! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly! They are so knowledgeable and will answer any questions you might have. I will definitely be back!
