I was initially impressed by this bank because of a YouTube video I saw interviewing the bank's CEO. I was really impressed by the CEO's personal story.I own five businesses, and several partnerships. After hearing the CEO's interview, I was totally sold on the bank's mission as told by the CEO.I opened the Primis account months ago as I opened a new office and began the difficult process of interviewing staff to hire.Given the CEO's commitment to women, and what his mother went thru, I was truly proud to take a newly hired C-Suite executive by the Hull Street Road branch to have her added to the signature card for our account.I was selling some real estate I own, and ahead of the liquidity event from the real estate closing, I wanted my new president to become familiar with the bank I had chosen ahead of the $300K upcoming inbound wire transfer from the closing. We have been busy dealing with legal IP licensing, negotiations, interviewing staff, developing policies, and other intensive activities. We had next planned to open a payroll account and recommend accounts to new employees and customers. We had assumed Primis Bank would be there for us.I assumed wrong.Without warning, I got a call from the branch manager telling me he had decided to close our account. I asked him why? We were in good standing, no overdrafts and had only been using the account to pay our office rent while we were waiting for all our insurance policies to be negotiated and go into effect. The manager tells me that ".....the bank (Primis Bank) doesn't need a reason to close any account holders account and that they can close any account at any time for any reason without warning"!Severely disappointed, but message received.I'll be sure to let everyone else know how your bank feels.Clearly, I fell for the CEO's story. I was misled into thinking this was a bank that be supportive of small business and the struggles we face daily. I had expected Primis Bank to help us, not hurt us.If you are considering doing business with Primis Bank, be careful. There is a serious disconnect between the C-Suite, the staff, and the community. The message and mission statement of the CEO does not meet the needs of the community. You don't have to take my word for it. Ask around for yourself. I did. After I got the call they were involuntarily closing our account, I began asking other business owners, homeowners, and anybody I could what they had heard or experienced from Primis Bank.I encountered many people who felt disappointed like I was.Do your own due diligence. Ask around and check for yourself. This is just my direct experience.I'm just so disappointed because the CEO's interview and life story was so compelling! I just knew this would be the best banking experience I had ever had.I'm so sorry and don't want anyone else to feel like I was made to feel. Particularly when you do nothing wrong.###
