Best paint store in RVA. Benjamin Moore paint is good as any. But the staff is what makes this store stand above. Dale leads a very knowledgeable, professional, friendly team. I was especially pleased with their capability to match 12 year old indoor paint on 3 different colors as we are patching walls in prep for a move to the Free State of Florida. Thank you Dale, Jessie, Joey, Adam for the advise and help.

This review is not about the quality of the paint, but the quality of the service. This incident was over a year ago, but I am still grumbling. I had been in there a few times to buy a few gallons and wasn't impressed with the service, but I liked the paint and all went well. This time I needed a quart of dark brown paint to paint a piece of furniture. I picked out the darkest brown I could find out of the samples. When I brought it up to get mixed, I was told in an unfriendly way, "Well, if you want THAT color, you have to buy the most expensive paint." I said OK, and I want it gloss. She said, "Are you sure?" I said yes. She never said what she had against gloss.
I brought the paint home, and the color didn't quite match the sample. It was a washed out, yellowy gray brown. I wasn't sure how much of it was because it was shiny, but I brought it back in to get it darkened. I was told "I told you not to get glossy." I brought it home. Still not a warm, dark brown like the sample. By now, close to 1/4 was gone out of the quart. When I brought it back again, I received a scowl after the can was opened and was told that they could NOT match that color again because so much paint was missing. I brought it home, and still thought the color was washed out looking. (I painted the table black and moved on.)
To make matters worse, there were some regular clients that came in while I was there, and the woman's demeanor instantly improved. She was all friendly and chatty. Ick! Maybe it is different people there now, but a year or so ago, they were unfriendly.
