Our dogs have been patients here for about a year. I appreciate everything about this practicing including kindness of the staff and ease of getting appointments scheduled. Our dogs see Dr. Shaw. He is very compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind. Putting one of our dogs down was one the hardest things that we’ve ever had to do. Dr. Shaw was so supportive during the entire process.

I need to urgently express my frustration with the experience my fiancé and I had today at this veterinary office. Many pet owners already struggle to afford proper care due to high costs, and today we experienced exactly why. My fiancé brought our cat in to be treated for a kidney stone, and instead of receiving specialized treatment, we were prescribed basic wet and dry food. At the end of the appointment, we were hit with a $600 bill—without any prior breakdown or explanation of costs throughout the visit.
At no point during the appointment were we informed about how much each step would cost. Instead, we were blindsided with the total at the very end to be paid in FULL, with no option to review or discuss the charges. For an office that promotes itself as "affordable," this was misleading and felt like a complete cash grab. It's appalling that pet owners can be forced into paying outrageous fees without any transparency, especially when even human medical care can be more reasonably priced. I will not be returning to your office, as I value veterinary care that give full pricing disclosure as a courtesy to their patients.

I have been going here since we moved here. We had a previous vet but they didn't offer reproductive services. The vets here genuinely care for your pets and will even call you in a Sunday, from home, to check on your sick pet. Highly recommend them.

We cannot say enough about Dr. Shaw and his team also to the newest team member at the front desk you are doing great ❤️. We always feel welcomed by everyone! We have 3 fur babies Hope Kevin and Theodore that get the best care here. Dr. Shaw has amazing bed side manner. His nurses are so sweet and caring. It's so comforting to have a place we can actually trust ❤️.

My dog, Mia, generally hates going to the vet and tends to be nervous, but she was willing to let Dr Ontiveros examine her more easily than she has with previous doctors because it wasn’t rushed or a forced interaction. Dr Ontiveros took her time and let Mia get used to her before starting the exam which I appreciated a lot.

If I could rate this practice 100 stars, I truly would because they are so deserving of it. I have had to bring my sweet Po in for some issues twice now and every time, the staff at Springfield has treated him with such good care as if he was their own. The front desk staff is always so kind and always willing to help and answer questions that I may have. Po has been to other vets in the past but by far, Dr. Kilgore has been the best one and he’s the only vet I will ever take my pets to. Dr. Kilgore goes above and beyond with patient care and is so knowledgeable. I couldn’t say enough good things about him. After appointments, he always goes into detail about what happened during the appointment and how to care for Po at home. He also makes sure that all my questions are answered before I leave the office and even follows up to see how Po is doing the next day. Over all, the staff at Springfield are angels and they really deserve everything good as they treat our animals in the same way! Dr. Kilgore and his team are the only people I trust with my cat and I never worry when having to drop Po off for a procedure. I am so proud to call Springfield Po’s primary vet!!

Close and convenient location from my parent’s house. Friendly and welcoming staff with an easy check in process for my first time visit after setting up the appointment online with the available dates and times. I didn’t choose any specific doctor for this visit and ended up with Jake Shaw. An amazing doctor and informative. Will definitely choose this place to be Sophie’s primary care. I’m sure any of the other providers will be just as amazing. The general wellness / shots visit was billed cheaper than I expected too!
