I can’t say enough wonderful things about Akyra at Wholeness Hair Clinic! She has been such a blessing to me on my natural hair journey. From the start, she’s helped me not only grow my hair out but also keep it strong, healthy, and flourishing.
What I love most about Akyra is that she’s intentional with everything she does. She’s professional, she’s timely, and she always makes sure I leave her chair feeling confident and cared for. Over time, she has become more than just my hairstylist—she has become a dear friend.

The salon is a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere! All the stylists are friendly, professional, and do what's best for their clients. I love my beautiful flat twist styles and always leave feeling encouraged! It's more than getting your hair done- it's a whole experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and beautiful!!

Experience was so bad I had to leave my first ever google review. STAY AWAY.
I’m still recovering from this awful visit nearly a year later. I hate my hair and I suffered chemical burns. I booked a consultation in August and discussed my color inspiration (attached), which was a picture of my own hair. Akrya confidently said we could recreate the shade. I returned on September 26, 2024. I regret returning, that is the day Akrya ruined my scalp and hair. $240 for long lasting issues. I’ve paid more than this amount in doctor appointments regarding these issues. Throughout the appointment, Akrya made sure I was comfortable as I am a shy individual. She even told me how much she enjoyed my hair, now I’m wondering if that was backhanded! Once my coloring was complete, my hair was trimmed, a bit more than my liking but I know hair grows back. However, I felt it was rushed as she had another client waiting. I understand that getting hair changes can result in shock, and I was definitely shocked at my hair color. As soon as I left the building, I quickly realized my hair color was not what I asked for. It was super orange, especially in the sun! I sent Akrya a message that same day, and thankfully she let me come in for a fix the very next day. However, this experience was even worse. The color was still not what I asked for and once again I was rushed out her chair, she didnt even attempt to style my hair. As I was exploring my hair, that is when I noticed I had burns on my scalp. I had to visit urgent care for treatment and the doctor noted hair loss where the burns had occurred. Today I am still facing scalp problems and working with a dermatologist with extensive hair care treatment. I’ve labelled each attached image for context. If you actually like your hair, don’t step foot into this salon. Even my coworkers were shocked at how bad my hair turned out. Family and friends asked who my stylist was just to know who to avoid. Additionally, If you run into an issue, similar to what another reviewer said, she will gaslight you without a doubt. I had to essentially beg for a full refund AFTER needing medical attention.
EDIT, since I received a response: You made it very clear you did not read my review and showing you do not care. It has not been a year, only approaching. You did not address this over a year ago as stated. I provided every date. I am entitled to posting of my experience regardless of when it was, and I am still experiencing aftermaths between scalp issues and a poorly done hair job today. If you read my review, you’d notice that I have been seeing a dermatologist only after leaving your salon.If you must know, I frequent visits to my physician and have no history of skin conditions or allergies. I was on no medication at the time of my appointment. While allergic reactions are always possible, I still experienced chemical burns and hair loss at your salon and did not get the hair color I asked for. Although I received a full refund (the refund you didnt originally offer), you lack accountability which is why I would never recommend anyone to your salon. Hope this helps.

Akyra took great care of my natural hair. She used quality products and took special care to massage and deep cleanse my scalp. I truly believe that's why I've been seeing the growth in my hair. The products she recommended I use for my own upkeep have also been doing wonders on my hair.

Love Akyra! Her salon is cute and welcoming! I’ve been here several times and plan to continue coming here regularly! I have always been pleased with my appointment and the end result. I’ll be bringing my four year old in next week for a curly cut. I def recommend Wholeness Hair Clinic to everyone!

I visited for my first time this week and Akyra was everything I've ever needed in a hair professional! She was knowledgeable, inviting, and extremely kind. She had great recommendations down to how my diet impacts my hair health! Akyra was fantastic and I'm so glad to have found a natural hair stylist in this area. I'll definitely be back!
