Nasty hairstylist. No customer service. She first said is it a buzz cut or other. I said regulate cut not buzzed. She said that will be $10 more, no $ 11. Never gave me a price. At first I was wondering why she was saying that but ok no problem. I show her a picture she said oh that will be $ 46 to use a razor. I said for kids cut? She explained to use razor its more money. I said just do a 1. No razor. She then states if he doesn't keep still you will see every line. This made me nervous because if the stylist of the salon does not know how to do a fade why is there. He sat in the chair and she again said $46. We just left. The worst part was i waited 1.5 hours for my appointment and when we walked in early the two employees were just hanging out not working. Then never said hi or greeted me just began to treat me like I didn't have money. Maybe because we are in chill clothes? Maybe because she didn't want to cut kids hair? She said she doesn't normally use clippers without guard on kids and again let me know if he moves at all all lines would show. I would hope as a hair business your stylists have experience with kids and at least take time to greet your clients. We just left because between the rudeness and her letting me know she was going to mess up his hair... wasn't feeling the best about this location. I have not been in hair cuttery in 10 years or more. Today was a reminder why. Went to sports clips, checked in online took us back in 5mins and your a competitor charged $36 including $ 6 tip. And my baby got exactly what he wanted no lines in his head. Really need better staff. She is a nasty person with no customer service. Hope you all get rid of the rude staff

Update: manager called and was very nice even offered to do a free cut but we already got it done. Terry told me that a kids cut is $21 without razor and would of been $19 extra for razor. So where did the extra $10 or $11 come in? The stylist lied about the price. If I would of said yes to the first lady they would of over charged me by $6 to $11. So that stylist lied and tried to rip me off. I did not take the free cut. I dont want free i wamt to be treated fairly. I hope corporate gets wind of this..... trying to rip me off. I am mind blown by how this even happened all to try and get a 8 year old hair done. Again manager is very nice but I will be taking this up the ladder due to lies beware of over charges at the stylist discretion at the gloucester location! Mind blown!

I was very nervous about my appointment today because i was not sure if I could explain exactly what I wanted without being frustrating to my stylist. But all of them were simply delightful. They made me feel welcome and eased my nerves by not judging me because i did not know proper terms. I was very happy with my experience and thank everyone in there for their help!

Terri is the best stylist, hands down! She is so friendly and talented. She saved my hair from being very damaged and bleached out to my healthy natural hair color. Terri also gave me an excellent haircut. During the whole appointment, she told me the process of my hair treatment so I was always informed. I’ll be back! Everyone - go book with Terri! You won’t regret it! :-)

I recently had a profoundly disappointing experience at this Hayes, Virginia location of Hair Cuttery. I had purchased a $50 gift card for my wife as a Mother's Day present, so naturally we were excited to try out the service. My wife scheduled an appointment for 5:50 PM, but when we arrived, the beautician immediately declined to assist her, citing that it was too close to closing time. Not only was the service refused on those grounds, but the beautician also spoke down to my wife in a manner that made her feel unwanted—a treatment that no customer should ever endure.
When my husband attempted to address the situation in hopes of rectifying the incident, he discovered that the store had already locked its doors by approximately 5:45 PM, well before the official closing time. This abrupt closure only compounded our frustration and disappointment.
In all our experiences with service providers, we've never been treated so poorly. I sincerely hope that someone in senior leadership takes notice of this incident and reaches out to me to further discuss how such an occurrence can be remedied. This experience not only reflects a lack of customer care but also deeply undermines the trust we placed in this business.

Came in and was told someone would come to help me shortly. Waited over 45min. One employee walked out past me, another checked some people out and in. No one said a word to me. I took my money and got what i wanted done at another establishment. I won't be back, this is the second time this sort of thing has occurred.
