“Each and every experience I’ve had with York Veterinary Hospital has been phenomenal. I moved last fall and am currently a 90 minute drive from this practice, but continue to go out of my way to bring my cat here because of the wonderful service we’ve always received. It is so evident that Dr. Neumann cares for her patients and takes their health very seriously. I truly couldn’t recommend her and her team more. They are also very transparent about cost and treatment options, which are much more reasonable than other vets in the area. My cat is objectively a diva and can give the techs quite a hard time with nail trims, but they are always so professional and loving with him despite his occasional attitude problem. We are so grateful to them (even if he doesn’t always show it…)!”

“The groomer came out and sat on the floor to meet our toy poodle. She was very friendly and tried soothing our anxious dog. That’s the first time in 11 years our dog has had that kind of attention from a groomer. Our dog looks great!! She did a great job on her cut. Our dog also needed updated shots and a physical. I wasn’t present for that, but I can only imagine they were just as caring. Thank you!!”

“This place is amazing. I found a kitten in a bush a few years ago, and No More Chasin’ Tails was recommended as a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. I wasn’t sure if the kitten wanted to be feral, but I wanted to get him taken care of regardless. It took about 3 months to get an appointment, and wouldn’t you know- the week before, he escaped outside. I tried hard to catch him but ended up having to cancel. I was bummed about waiting another 3 months, but the clinic staff were so supportive and kind that they offered me a different slot just a week later… and I caught my kitten! Well, actually, he wandered back on his own. Guess he didn’t want to be feral after all. :) For reference, my total was $130 for everything, including the neuter ($60) with a limited exam, plus optional rabies, FVRCP, bloodwork, and microchip. It’s understandable that a low-cost spay/neuter clinic would be extremely busy, but they truly do everything they possibly can given the volume. Don’t call, just email. They monitor emails for urgency and are very responsive. They also have great resources on their website and clear directions in their auto-replies for most scenarios, including one of the easiest records portals I’ve ever used. After the neuter, they gave me an on-call number to text with any questions or concerns. It never felt like an assembly-line clinic. You can tell that Dr. Lindsay Califf and the staff genuinely care about animals and work very hard to serve the community. My only suggestion would be an illustrated map with landmarks because it can be a little hard to find at first. Once you turn off Warwick, it might feel like you took a wrong turn, but keep going. You’ll find it!”

“After moving to Hampton and being far away from our other vet, I decided to check out veterinary clinics nearby. Came across Poquoson Vet Hospital and boy am I glad I did! From the first interaction of making an appointment to actually coming in for the first visit was a pleasant experience!I brought our dog Tucker to this facility and they welcomed us with warm smiles and pleasant demeanors. Tucker is usually hesitant to go to the vet but he walked right in and was friendlier than usual! After a brief registration, we were taken back to the room. I cannot recall the vet tech's name but she was awesome with Tucker, very friendly and calm.We were greeted by Dr. Williams and he came in the same way, introduced himself and gave Tucker all the attention he deserved! Very knowledgeable and approachable, which is hard to find now a days!I would highly recommend if in the area. Staff was pleasant, quick appointments and very quick to get in for an appointment!”

“I recently took my cat in for a check-up and she is being taken good care of. My cat has some common health problems and parasites. all worked out pretty well . They also deeply cleaned the cat's ears. They were really friendly and explain any details to us. My cat is usually nervous, but when he gets home, he seems happy. The next day he looked much fresher. They also paid a return visit call to my cat the next day to make sure everything was all right. And they can also take samples of feces at any time, which is really convenient. And the price not expensive. This has to be a 5 star.”

I called the office a couple of hours later to see how Faith was and the young lady new exactly who Faith was. She gave me an update which eased my mind tremendously. The surgery was a success. Faith came home and although sore she was a very Happy pup. I appreciated the care given by the staff.”
